So when it says "tuned for various crossbows (250-450fps). Does that mean it has speed compensation?

It's on sale at Cabelas for $220 or the Spectre 375 is on Sale on the CP web site for $250. The Spectre is the next version of the Sniper and is a nice package.

That's a good price for the base version. I think a few extra $$ for the Elite is worth it. Side mount quiver, better forearm and pistol grip and it has limb and string silencers.

I brought a CP Spectre 375 on Black Friday special emailed to me by Crosman. It was $162 plus tax delivered. My son needed a upgrade so I bought it for him as a birthday gift

I did him a good Dad deed. I assembled it which was easy. I zeroed the scope and found the yardages for each crosshair/circle from 20 yards for zero to 47 yards for the post top. Fortunately I had already purchased a dozen quality matched Victory Xbolts for him. Good straight arrows made it much easier than using the provided arrows.

It was fun to break in and didn't take much time. Being a previous Sniper owner I appreciated the improvements made to the Spectra which needed help on the Sniper. Examples: ADF level removed, changed the latch area to eliminate cocking the bow and not setting the ADF mechanism, much better adjustable butt stock, better pistol grip, and it seem to be easier to cock. There was not improvement made for the small allen set screws to lock the foot stirrup. They loosened up and need thread lock compound.

The scope is lower quality as expected but adequate for the ranges it was dialed in to shoot. The illuminated circle reticles helped in the low light condition I experienced.

The Spectra is a much better designed bow than is the Sniper. It was fun to shoot and I believe my son will like it when he finally gets the time to fire it. He is a manager and work comes first. To bad!

For the price I thought it was a crazy good buy thanks to Crosman for thanking of me.
