I would like to know this myself, I have some I bought, I've read where they don't fly well, I will be shooting the tenpoint shadow nxt. I like the offset blades, guess I just need to shoot a deer with one and see what happens
Atleast use one for practice to see where theyre hitting before slinging one at a deer. You don't want to make a bad shot loosing your trophy buck!I would like to know this myself, I have some I bought, I've read where they don't fly well, I will be shooting the tenpoint shadow nxt. No need to sacrifice a head or blades. Just tape the blades closed with electrical tape like I did in the video above.I started using them 2 years ago and they fly great out of my Storm same as fieldpoints out to 50 yards
I have takin 3 deer with them and they haven't ran over 40 yards and have a great blood trail
The practice head that came with mine was junk it wouldn't spin true si I sacrificed a good head to sight in with
I shoot the 100gn 2"cut, The 100gn 3 blade and the 125gn 2.25" cut. I haven't killed any with the 2.25" cut yet. Only 1 so far with the 3 blade. I've killed about 10 with the 100gn 2" cut 2 blade. I shoot them out of 3 different bows and have confidence in all of them. So imo its a toss up. Here's damage from a 100gn 2"cut 2 bladeI got to shoot both 2 and 3 blades again today out two forty yards. They were about the same as thirty just a touch lower. I repeated the shoots over at the same target and they were touching the holes from the first shots. They both fly great a little different than field points. With a little scope adjustment they would be on the money. So tell me which would you chose. 2 or 3 blade.
Thanks
I have shot any slackers, but always preferred three blades over two. It just seems like the three blade even with a smaller cutting diameter "should" do more damage with the increased cutting area. That may or may not be the case in reality however.I got to shoot both 2 and 3 blades again today out two forty yards. They were about the same as thirty just a touch lower.
