Sorry that happened to you. The unserved places are to allow some twisting/adjustment, I would think. I had an excellent string/cable set made by @Perry24 .
One of the loop ends.Where did it break? Can't tell in the pics.
Perry24 threads are top notch. 👍Is Perry 24 strings the best strings for these? Only curious because I may end up needing one as well
Ol' SEW has thousands of shots on two Swat strings IIRC.Don't be worried.
Alot of guys have gotten hundreds and hundreds of shots.....
These things happen, and no big deal for me to swap it out with my press.
Thanks Thomas,Mike, I hope you get that fixed soon.
Hi Robert,How did it break? On the shot? Cocked and sitting? Uncocked and just broke on it's own?
Was there any damage other than the string breaking?
My Ravin R20 was cocked and laying beside me on the ground when a cable broke and it busted the metal riser holding the left limb. The limb itself was not hurt.
Don't be scared. To be honest, a broken string can happen on any crossbow made by any manufacturer. It isn't overly common, but it does happen. The best course is to just do a nice inspection to make sure the crossbow doesn't have any issues, then put on another string and go shoot.Ah man I think we just ordered this xbow... now I'm scared..lol
That was the best thing that could have happened as all the energy was absorbed by the arrow and limbs normally. Run your finger tip around the edge of the cams also. I think that Sew have to do a little filing on one of his.Hi Robert,
It broke during the shot
I'm going to closely examine the cam peg for any sharp edge. Looks like a clean cut to me. The arrow quite surprisingly hit the poa.
