Hey gang I am signing in....
an i see i gotta nuther cajun here like me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE ARE ON GUY'S.......

MY SEASON DON'T START TIL 10/15
What are we going to name the team fella's?

Let's all throw up some names and we can take a vote.
We were the Executioner's last year, How about Horn Stars or Tine Bandits? Y'all throw some names in the hat! Cant wait to hunt!!

I am 40 yrs old, I live in South Louisiana and I hunt in central La, I am hunting on a 3500 acre club that is DMAP. No big monsters but we have plenty of deer. I have been hunting and fishing for 34 years but have only been deer hunting for the last 5 yrs. Bow season opens on Oct 1st but I will be working the first week of the season. I work offshore. Actually, I am on a land job only about 3 miles from our hunting club so I will be able to sneak off and hide in the woods in the afternoons.

Let's make this more about fun! Even if we do not win the main thing is to give everyone a hard time!!!!
Just letting everyone know I took a small doe this morning around 10:30 that I had to stalk. I missed another one at 8:45 this morning out of my ladder stand....used the 40 yard dot instead of the 30 and shot high..

I will post pics later.

way ta go DeereGuy!!! yall need to cover me till OCT 15....when my season begins !!
then yall can relax and smell tha roses
Thanks guys,
This is the earliest I have ever deer hunted and the weather couldn't have been better. We had a nice frost last night and the deer were really moving.

I seen a total of 21 deer today. Only 5 of them were within bow range. The rest were within 100 yards. Our normal season doesn't open untill Oct 1st so there won't be a buck entry from me before then. I actually don't think the buck action will pick up around here until the last week in Oct.

Good luck to everyone.

They both sound good but I like Horn Stars the best. Do we know the status of Cattrapper and Saintdeer? I see they haven't checked in yet.

I live in the Lansing Michigan area and am 58 years old. I haven't done any kind of bow hunting for over 15 years and only gun hunted in 2004, 2005 and 2006. A career move left me with no place to hunt and no time from 1995 - 2004. I now can step out my front door and start hunting. My wife and I had a log home built in 2004 and out life has finally returned to normal.;)

It's nice to meet everyone and I wise everyone the best of luck this season.

Do we also need to pick a captain?
Congtrats on the kill!!! YOU DA' MAN!!
You have the first kill so if you want Horn Stars you got it. We don't have to have a captain, haven't in the paST.

I'm sure that they will put up a place to post just kills.

Where I hunt, I will be lucky if I see 21 deer in 3 seasons!!! Here in Louisiana we are hunting think pine plantations with hardwood scattered throughout. I am hunting a logging road that I have about 250 yards running north and south, I have another spot in the pines by a small creek that I have a tri-pod set up and yesterday I put my ground blind in a oak flat 35 yards from a creek. This is the view from my ground blind, I think it will be my best spot this year. You can't really make it out but under those bushes is a creek. I am seeing acorns and lots of sign.

Hey Guy's!
Sorry it took me awhile and thanks to the other coonass on here I found my team! I have already seen 13 bucks this week and passed on all of them. Will go out tuesday and wednesday and smoke a doe or 2. Should be a greeat year, 1500 acres of unhunted, organic farmland in the Piedmont of NC! (thanks to backyard bow pro, I got sole rights to all of it!)

Looks like a good spot. I am able to see a long ways from either of my blinds and tree stands. Later in the season I will need to bury myself in the thick stuff.

Hang in there bud...after Monday our EAS closes and then its the wait till Oct 1. We can start taking bucks then.
I have 3 farms that are over run with deer and a few other 65 acre organic farms.. I might not get a giant, but eventually I will grow one on this property!
1- Goat farm/dairy
2- organic produce farm, about 180 acres
3- 65 acre organic farm on the outskirts of a state park close to Durham NC. look up the deer density there! It's nuts!
