I'm new to crossbows, I've gotten an old Barnett Wildcat from a relative that I've shot a few times and discovered the scope rail was broken, hence the horrible groups I was getting. I live on a small 12 acre farm and haven't really considered any bow hunting before because I was concerned about all I'd read about how far the deer travel even after a good hit. But, I've decided to give it a try, once I find the part I need and do a lot of practicing. As with firearms, until I'm proficient I will not take it afield, it would not be fair to the animals.
Wish me luck!
Thank you, looking forward to getting this old crossbow set up and begin practicing.
Won't go afield until I feel I'm proficient, only fair to the animals!
