Our grandson (the hunter) is a freshman now and is in the high school marching band. Naturally we have go to the games.

On the eve of 9/11, the students were all dressed up in red, white, and blue - with both bands doing patriotic music which was really nice.

I spied this young girl and asked to take a picture of her T-shirt - there’s still hope I guess. I didn’t realize until I looked at the picture afterwards that the R was an elephant.

Yup. My jeans would wear out at the knees and my mother would iron on one of those heavy duty blue jean patches.

I’d walk around stiff legged until they softened up.

Nowadays I have my daughter sew patches on my work pants. I use to do it myself but she does a much nicer job. I hate throwing away anything with some life left in it.
