If I buy one I’ll wait and get the 2023 model with updated camo and orange lock ring on the optic. I still haven’t mentally committed to a new xbow yet but I’m getting close. I’d really like a 2023 505 but imo a quality xbow a 100 fps slower for 2/3’s less I’m probably not going to see much difference in drop out to 60 yards?

The 10x is 420 fps

So there’s seven or $800 difference for another 20 ft./s? The 10 X is like two grand versus the 10 I have found for $1013. before I bought a 10 X I would jump to a 26 or 29 for only a couple hundred dollars more.

The 10X has 300 pound limbs like the 29X but only a 11" power stroke vs. 12.5" for the R29X.
That 1.5" of additional power stroke makes a huge difference on cable stress when the bow is left cocked for extended periods of time - particularly in warmer weather.

But with that said, if you can get a new R10 for $1000, I'd buy it every day and twice on Sundays. Chances are it'll shoot at least 410 fps and all you have to do is hold the winch pawl button in to cock or decock it silently. It's already camo and your cables will definitely last longer because of the weaker 270 pound limbs. You can then use the additional savings to get you a better scope.
