Shame about the trigger weight, but it sounds great otherwise. Thanks for the report.
I tried WR Raider 400 decock a month ago, and also found the trigger harder than I had expected. I wanted to try out the 2 stage trigger. The bow felt light enough for me to manage and well balanced. The only issue I had was that after cataract surgery a few yrs ago, with long range implanted lens in that eye, I couldn’t see the decocking vs safety buttons. I guess by feel, since they are different shape, one would get use to it by practice. I had never used a sled cocking device either, only the RDS by Mission. It sure was fast and right on bullseye at 20 yds at the shop. One of my friends just purchased the Wicked Ridge 400 De-Cock Crossbow from Wyvern Creations, he decided to upgrade the scope, purchase a case and bought 6 more of the match 400gr. arrows that came with the crossbow. I ended up sighting it in for him and we shot about 25 times just to get used to everything on the crossbow. I've always used a cocking rope so getting used to a crank cocking system and how it worked took a little bit to get used to. The cocking system is flawless and works great it is silent and really smooth I was really impressed with Ten Points cocking system. The crossbow was fairly quiet for a compound crossbow and a pleasure to shoot. We got dialed in at 20 yards and were shooting 1-1 1/2 inch groups off the bench at 40 yards with the factory arrows. I'm sure with some better arrows we could have done better. The trigger on this crossbow doesn't have any creep it has a solid wall before the trigger breaks, I didn't have a trigger scale but it didn't seem like a 3 to 4lb trigger it seemed more like a 6 to 7 lb trigger to me which also took a little getting used to. I would say for the money that Ten Point hit a home run with this crossbow with all the features it offers especially being able to push a button and the ability to uncock the crossbow after every hunt. I would recommend this crossbow for anyone looking for a good solid crossbow with a great cocking and de-cocking system and a great company like Ten Point to deal with if you ever have any issues. I've bought several crossbows from David at Wyvern Creations and he always returns my calls and answers all my questions that I may have, In my opinion when you're looking to purchase a crossbow this another reason to buy from someone who will always stand behind their products they sell and bend over backwards to make sure you're happy with your purchase.
You have to attach the claw back to the string, but yes, other than that it is simple. Is the de-cock feature simply push the de-cock button and turn backwards easy peasy ?
is this the 2023 model?
