I wonder if it is t something in the materials. I’ve heard that Ford has a recall on some vehicles because mice have been chewing tubing that contains soy.
Soy has been used in making the electrical insulation on many newer vehicles. Squirrels, mice, etc just love that stuff.

Stupid bears. They did a number on this 1 year old Tidewe. 4th Tidewe blind in 2 years taken out between my buddy @Swatman and I. Are the Chinese coating these blinds with General Tso's sauce to attract bears or what? View attachment 350867 View attachment 350868

Depending on how many blinds you have pick up a gallon or two of the Atsko Water guard extreme.

After the season, remove the blinds and wash them with soap and water inside and out. Then rinse.

When they have dried put the Atsko water guard extreme in a pump sprayer. Completely coat, the roof and the walls of the blind on the outside.. it can take a half a gallon to 3/4 of a gallon to completely saturate the material. Leave it in the sun for a day or two and let it dry. That will protect it from the sun and the elements. I’d be willing to bet the bear won’t like the taste of that treated blind. Besides, it will extend the life of the blinds.

Mines not that fancy just made 3 walls and made a roof outta 2 pallets. Wrapped in black tarp. Still working on it not finished
I always have believed a hard blind is a real game changer. I will tend to hunt in much colder or wetter weather when I can be relaxed and comfortable in a good blind. Our floor is covered with 2ā€ thick rubber foam and then a layer of heavy carpet. It lets me be able to move around without the noise. Inside, I have hooks on the walls to hang stuff, a quiver bracket so I can mount my quiver on a wall within easy reach just in case. Also have a nice cushy office chair to sit in. Definitely not roughing it but it keeps me there.

Is it difficult for you to get bear tags? Do you guys hunt them?
We can hunt them. I usually don't but they are forcing my hand to get a tag. They won't be here by the time season rolls around though. The corn will be gone by then and they will crawl back to the swamps and mountains they came from.

I’m not sure the deer like to swim that much, but if you think it might bring them in I’m willing to try setting something up for them. Probably a good idea to make sure they are good and relaxed when I poke them so they don’t react to the shot so bad…
Wonder what channel they would prefer?

I haven’t ever got a game cam pic of any bears yet, but I hear there have been a few a little closer than ever before near me. I’m praying they take their time getting here since we have no season for them in my area.

I'd assume The outdoor channel. I hear they consider it the #1 premier true crime drama on television today!
With my luck they’d put deer hunting shows on all season kinda the deer version of Shark Week…
That would be awful

OEA it looks like it’s bear hunting time at your place
Yeah..... about that. Was it hunting tonight and had this little guy come thru. The trail camera picked him up. I think I could take him lol.

Now this one... doubt it. It's heading right towards Bunjie's trail camera. 😬 If you zoom in on the bottom pick you can see it coming up the field. I can't believe the camera was able to pick the bear up that far away. Crazy.
