All of the sudden I see 2019 models on the website? Bass Pro is selling the X Vanish model for $249 and it says made in the USA?

Note this is not the Karnage Apocalypse.

Anybody have any info? If the 2019 line is US made I’m all over it.

These are definitely marked as 2019’s on Bear’s site. May be a re-hash if an earlier model.

Even if they are Man-Kungs, would they be reliable for a sub-$300 hunting bow?

I’m just getting back into hunting after a series of unfortunate events, and I want something decent but doesn’t have to be high-end.

I killed a lot of deer with old Hortons and a Barnett Wildcat C5.

These xbows are all ManKung products. I haven't paid much attention to the Bear line so I don't know what's new (outside the 405) and what's carry over from 2018. I did see the Vanish at Cabela's this past week and it's a ManKung made xbow.

The CenterPoint (ManKung products) in comparison are a nicer. The Sniper Elite and Specialist win over the Vanish, Kronicle and Saga in design and execution. I prefer the Spectre (I just got one) over the Apocalypse and the Saga 405 is just a version of the Apocalypse with 210 lb limbs.

It's always good to see new product and the 405 does give them a speed xbow. Cocking it may be a choir ;)

I bought one a Vanish a couple weeks ago at Midway USA , they had it on sale for $209.00
this is my first crossbow , the sale is off and now they list it at $299.00 .
since I don't have a lot of knowledge on cross bows and this is my fist one
I'm pleased with it , I will shoot it and machine some new parts for it as needed .
it did shoot 378 fps. through my chrono with the bolts that come with it .
I have 41 yrs of shooting archery and longer shooting rifles .
I did a video of the first review , not too good at doing videos but if I can share
my insights on setups I 'm all for helping people .

Yea, the FPS405 Saga has attention. I can handle 200lb draw but in no hurry to get one. Not sure due to holidays 405 out of stock. Also, could be not released yet. I like the 14" cocked ATA. That's compact!

What is speed of Spectre? I'll check it out because I respect your crossbow knowledge.

Can you tell me what rings and riser (specifically) you used? Thanks!

Ive been asked in a email to show just how I mounted the scope to show how I have it adjusted at 20 yds
when using the top cross hair , and still have a useable turrent where it's not maxed out being and have all of your clicks turned up where it will not move any more , as the scope that came with the Vantage is a China scope with 1/4 inch clicks at a 100 yds .. I will post this up in a you tube video ..

in the mean time , the Vantage has a 15 inch LOP which in just too long for the average shooter , should of been at 13.5 LOP . so to get the eye relief with that scope had to slide it all the way back on the rail ,, which is a Weaver , they all should be a “Picatinny Rail” , anyway in short , I had to go with Tall 1 inch rings , and ring set will work they just have to be Tall and a scope rail for a AR15 , that way it raises the scope high enough where you can sight in your scope that comes with the Vantage , it takes 30 clicks up to sight in the scope at 20 yds using the top cross hair as this scope
has four cross hair in the scope , and you still have several clicks left in the scope turrent for adjusting up for any speeds lower than 378 fps. so the scope is sighted in at 20 yds top cross hair at 40 yds it is sighted in at 40 yds , using the second cross hair there is a 3 inch split between each cross hair lines in the scope , so that will give you a idea at hold overs at 60-80 yds if you choose to shoot out and target shoot at that range .

any 1 inch tall rings will do weaver or “Picatinny Rail”
the AR15 scope riser raises your scope another 1/2 inch in height .
they are all “Picatinny Rail” risers .
with my bolts in the rail of the Vantage from the center of the
Bolt to the center of the scope it is 3 inches .
any other questions just let me know .
