I know this is probably an old question, but my cables are starting to unravel were they are served, right on the edge of the cams, i dont have all that many shots on them, but as we all know, it happens. So whats the best out there you guys have found, not going back to Barnett again, they are for my BCX . I have taken real good care of these strings and cables, cause i knew of the unraveling problems, but look likes it did not help. Tell me off a good set to put back on that will last a while. I dont have a press to fix the servers myself. Thanks guys Happy Trails

John, I have heard Viper strings are the best, but are pretty expensive. I have Barnett cables and strings and they are new, put on by Barnett last August. The serving has separated on the cam bend on both cables and string. I would like to know with it separating, how is that going to cause problems or what would I see with prolong shooting? My next question, what other bow strings that have been installed have not or never separated?

i use first string on my bows haven't had a problem
Well im sure it depends on what xbow your shooting, the poundage your shooting, what type of cams you have, probably all have a determination on what wear you will have, and servering area's being effected.

Wouldn't worry about serving separation on cams. As long as the string is not looking bad it isn't a problem.
My vertical bows almost always had some serving separation at the cams and were only replaced when I
decided I wanted another color. If separating at nock serving I reserve.
