Last night while shooting my MXB400 with 150 grain, 2-Blade broad heads I shot my bran new Spynal - Tapp arrows and had them go through my heavy bag, today I went and purchased some straw to place behind my target to act a s a stop, anyone else have similar experience? Is straw the best backdrop or is there an alternative?

I'd get a broadhead specific target
Double Dittos on getting a broadhead specific target.

Shooting broadheads a bag target will turn to trash real quick. Then add to that the mess it will make of your vanes passing through the fabric filler. As for straw unless it is tightly compressed it won't stop much for long anyway, especially at crossbow speeds.

You need a broadhead target!!

There's no way to compress straw enough to keep crossbow arrows from zipping right thru.
