Last night while shooting my MXB400 with 150 grain, 2-Blade broad heads I shot my bran new Spynal - Tapp arrows and had them go through my heavy bag, today I went and purchased some straw to place behind my target to act a s a stop, anyone else have similar experience? Is straw the best backdrop or is there an alternative?

I'd get a broadhead specific target, Block or something like that. Generally speaking, bag type targets aren't the best thing for your kind of shooting. Usually a broadhead gets so stuck in one of those that you'll have a real hard time getting the arrow out, or in your case a pass through and maybe a broken arrow or worse.
You need a broadhead target!!
There's no way to compress straw enough to keep crossbow arrows from zipping right thru.
