What is the verdict on these heads? I see lots of slipcam (oring retention on back) and swhacker heads listed for sale in bulk. Anyone with experience using these heads chime in. Just curious.
Anybody have a current ebay link for some of the 'good' Chinese broadheads? I looked a little, didn't really find the knockoffs.
Interesting post though, not sure how I missed this for the last 2 years.
I'm sure many of us, at some point, have tried broadheads from China. I'd imagine any of the really inexpensive broadheads you get from Walmart are made in China and have been for years. I've tried them (years ago, before I tried Muzzys) & as I recall I'd get 1 to fly well out of a pack of 3. Pretty sure I never killed anything with one, but have had them in the quiver a time or 2.
Not saying I'm ready to try more, but if something is out there that costs about $1 each from China vrs. $15 each from the name brand, I suppose that'd be good to know.
I think this is the same seller I got some from a couple of years ago to test off of ebay.https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Lot-Ar...ompound-Bow-Crossbow/253682884823?hash=item3b10ada0d7:m:mG37KkAU9lv2KF07QWdpbCg
Here's a video I made testing them.
Montec has a video on YouTube comparing their broadheads to the Chinese knock offs. It is pretty interesting and shows the knock offs collapsing during compression testing while their heads come out fine.Just for the helluva it, I purchased a 6 pack of Chinese G5 Montecs off of ebay……….Very dull heads
Felt like an alloy of some kind rather than steel
It always amazed me, that hunters will drop over two grand on a top of the line crossbow, without a thought that they could buy an el cheapo for 300 bucks that will do the same thing.... but piss & moan about investing just under 50 bucks on the most important part of their equipment that does all the work.......I guess it's just human nature....LOLI know I will get flamed, and forced to ride sitting backwards on a horse through the town square, but I still say we are paying extremely high prices for most of our broadheads.
There I said it, start throwing the rotten tomatoes, and horse apples at me!!!
I have swacker china broadheads, they rattle, they shoot like the real deal. Needs to be sharper. They eill work. What is the verdict on these heads? I see lots of slipcam (oring retention on back) and swhacker heads listed for sale in bulk. Anyone with experience using these heads chime in. Just curious.
You have to do a search on broadheads and search through until you find them. Not listed as Chinadermics, Hypodermic, etc. Generic title of just Broadheads.Good find. I might have bought some from the guy in USA before but it was a few years back so not certain.
The 24 piece one is from China.
I see alot of people here bashing those buying these broadheads but how many of yall buy bows made there and sold here? Or maybe they're assembled here but every part on it comes from China or Taiwan. What's the difference? Not just coming at you man bc there's alot of itAnother source of the problem is the internet. A real archery pro shop with dedicated bow technicians would not consider selling an inferior product...Because the broadhead market is so crowded with crazy contraptions and the fact that there's so few companies that dominate the market, it's like pulling teeth to even get a newer broadhead on the shelf in their shop. Anyone can sell anything on the web, regardless of quality or value. A shop owner has really only one thing to sell...Customer Confidence... His reputation for fair competitive pricing, and expertise, & honesty, are all part of that. . We even sell our broadheads on our website, but we never undercut our retailers, because they are the ones that actually come in personal contact with the buying public. When you buy from a reputable source like your local pro shop, either directly or from their website, they can't afford to knowingly sell you a product that will fail...If they do.... it will only drive you to Amazon, or another site where price is the only consideration......Just more food for thought.
