Anybody have a current ebay link for some of the 'good' Chinese broadheads? I looked a little, didn't really find the knockoffs.

Interesting post though, not sure how I missed this for the last 2 years.

I'm sure many of us, at some point, have tried broadheads from China. I'd imagine any of the really inexpensive broadheads you get from Walmart are made in China and have been for years. I've tried them (years ago, before I tried Muzzys) & as I recall I'd get 1 to fly well out of a pack of 3. Pretty sure I never killed anything with one, but have had them in the quiver a time or 2.

Not saying I'm ready to try more, but if something is out there that costs about $1 each from China vrs. $15 each from the name brand, I suppose that'd be good to know.

I think this is the same seller I got some from a couple of years ago to test off of ebay.https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Lot-Ar...ompound-Bow-Crossbow/253682884823?hash=item3b10ada0d7:m:mG37KkAU9lv2KF07QWdpbCg

Here's a video I made testing them.

Just for the helluva it, I purchased a 6 pack of Chinese G5 Montecs off of ebay. I paid $16 for 6 Montecs which is cheap considering they normally sell for approx. $ 12-15 bucks a piece. I figured what the heck, I'll bite and see what you get for a $2.66 broadhead. Here's what I got:
G5 Montec packaging with 3- 100 grainers in a pack X 2 packs
Very dull heads
Felt like an alloy of some kind rather than steel
Not one weighed the same as the other on my Lyman reloading scale- weight varied from 101 up to 106.4 and not one was equal to the other except in looks and only 1 was near the 100 grain as described.
I sharpened them on my regular stone then on a 1200 hone and 1500 grit sandpaper. They did become quite sharp after spending 10 minutes on each head... but, will they hold and edge after use???
Ya get what you pay for seems fair enough. I'll save these as coyote, small game and turkey broadheads and stick to what I know is quality controlled and well made!

I did an internet search for "US to China Currency Convertor"
Here is a currency conversion on the mentioned $2.66 broad heads from Post #143:
2.66 U.S. = 18.6124 CNY
1 CNY = 0.142915 USD
1 USD = 6.99716 CNY

This is the reason products from China sell much cheaper over here. Give China and some of these other countries where products are imported from a few years to up grade their quality. If they had the years behind them building products like have been here, their products would be a lot higher quality too.

Building new products here, there are still problems in design, materials used etc. It is an everyday challenge.

All the best.

Montec has a video on YouTube comparing their broadheads to the Chinese knock offs. It is pretty interesting and shows the knock offs collapsing during compression testing while their heads come out fine.

I have over 30 shots on one chinese hypodermic into a Blob broadhead target and it still looks and shoots great. I can't tell the difference between the blades from Rage and the ones I bought for $1 per head. I have some Montec heads but no knockoffs of them to try out.

Bought a dozen knockoffs a few years ago (hypos). Ended up getting them mixed up with the originals and couldn't tell the difference. Ended up killing a 177 that year and wonder to this day if it was a knockoff or not...
It did deflect and went up the other side but heard the hypos were know for that anyway.

Well, things are a little slow around here so I thought bringing this thread back to the top might liven things up a bit.
Anybody tried any new knock offs lately?

I know I will get flamed, and forced to ride sitting backwards on a horse through the town square, but I still say we are paying extremely high prices for most of our broadheads.

There I said it, start throwing the rotten tomatoes, and horse apples at me!!!
It always amazed me, that hunters will drop over two grand on a top of the line crossbow, without a thought that they could buy an el cheapo for 300 bucks that will do the same thing.... but piss & moan about investing just under 50 bucks on the most important part of their equipment that does all the work.......I guess it's just human nature....LOL

I think his point is more like if you paid $49.99 for a 3 pack of broadheads and later saw them on closeout at Walmart for $9.00 per 3 pack you know you got screwed. :)
That is one of the reasons I sold all my Rage Hypodermics and now shoot Chinadermics instead. Same head at $1.00 each when I bought them and they shoot great. I have a lifetime supply I believe.

Good find. I might have bought some from the guy in USA before but it was a few years back so not certain.
The 24 piece one is from China.
You have to do a search on broadheads and search through until you find them. Not listed as Chinadermics, Hypodermic, etc. Generic title of just Broadheads.

Best way to find the Chinadermics on ebay is to search
12ps expandable broadhead....

I'd like to buy another dozen or 2 of the 125gr 2.3" cut ones.....cant find any 125gr Chinadermics ...

Another source of the problem is the internet. A real archery pro shop with dedicated bow technicians would not consider selling an inferior product...Because the broadhead market is so crowded with crazy contraptions and the fact that there's so few companies that dominate the market, it's like pulling teeth to even get a newer broadhead on the shelf in their shop. Anyone can sell anything on the web, regardless of quality or value. A shop owner has really only one thing to sell...Customer Confidence... His reputation for fair competitive pricing, and expertise, & honesty, are all part of that. . We even sell our broadheads on our website, but we never undercut our retailers, because they are the ones that actually come in personal contact with the buying public. When you buy from a reputable source like your local pro shop, either directly or from their website, they can't afford to knowingly sell you a product that will fail...If they do.... it will only drive you to Amazon, or another site where price is the only consideration......Just more food for thought.
I see alot of people here bashing those buying these broadheads but how many of yall buy bows made there and sold here? Or maybe they're assembled here but every part on it comes from China or Taiwan. What's the difference? Not just coming at you man bc there's alot of it
