Calling out Jim from Scorpyd...

Called a couple of times and got immediate results. I do know he's slow on email so I just call. My experience is great if you have a problem or question.

Question? Why hasn't the issue with the ADF on the 165 been resolved? Will the 150 limbs still cause it? Talked to Jim on mine. It's still got the ADF in it and I'm starting to have the claw rebound issue. Not every shot but more frequently. I know a lot feel a ADF is important and obviously Jim does too or it wouldn't have been created and still implemented on the 130.

So it there a fix in the works?
And a test on the 150 limbs not causing ADF issues?

Same here on the ADF. Without going into a bunch of details I got mine right at the time the ADF issue was discovered. I told Jim I didn't want the 165 if it didn't have the ADF. I may talk to him on the 150. I really don't want a 130 if had I would have just got the 125.

I don't understand why a damper of some sorts or a stronger spring isn't used to stop the recoil and bouncing on the claw. I mean how hard can it be to fix? I'm just guessing here that the spring on mine is a little weaker and it's doing it more. Just a guess on my part and I haven't had it apart to look.

Guess it's phone time come Monday.

And the lets just remove it and call it fixed move isn't what I expected either. Giving up or a compromise isn't acceptable.

The ADF on the 165 a couple of pounds off the weight and the critics would have nothing to say bad about it.

Do you have a possible time frame on a fix? I know it can be hard or impossible to tell when a problem can be solved but is it something being worked on now or just something on the back burner that "one day we're going to fix that "?

Do you know that cause or why it does it?

And that's exactly what I thought. My spring like most springs got slightly weaker over time and now it's worse. I was thinking of a felt washer or other washer to put a dampening effect on it. If it's got a slight resistance to move then the spring in effect will be stronger. If you can slow down the rebound effect just a bit it will go away.

I have not taken it apart but I cannot believe that a stronger spring can't be put in or some sort of friction washer to slow down the rebound effect that the faster and more powerful 165 generates. Mine worked fine for a long time and now it's getting slowly worse. As the spring weakens maybe? There has to be a solution.

Mine latches fine. It's the rebound after the shot and the claw in the down position. The old fake cock and shoot trick to get it back to normal. The stopping of the rebound by slowing down the claw just a tiny amount would end it.

Well I don't believe in a xbow without a ADF. That was stated when I paid for it and it was sent to me. I was told then it wasn't a problem. We now know different. I don't want a 130 or a 165 with no ADF. So it's getting fixed or I'll move on until he can figure out a solution. There are many others that feel the same way. I've put off making the call but I guess it's time to see what can be done on it. Every other manufacturer can make one work so it can be done if they want to.

Ok talked to Jim yesterday on the ADF. Bow is going back and a different spring is going in. I will be testing out a possible fix for it. Guess he is going to try to make it work. That's good news.

Customer service is alive and well at Scorpyd. A few out there like to throw jabs when they can at him but he's always there when you have a question or a problem. And more importantly the problem is taken care of. The hurricane delayed me boxing it up but that's past the power is back on and I'll be shipping it out first of the week.
