Hi Everyone,
I am getting close to buying my first crossbow. I have been leaning towards the Ten Point Turbo II XLT for the combination of weight, reputation, and performance. I stopped by a local dealer today and they had shown me another model to consider.
It was the Carbon Express Covert SLS http://www.carbonexp...bows/covert-sls
I had the chance to shoot both bows. They have almost identical dimensions and are both very narrow. The Ten Point is spec'd a little lighter, but I couldn't easily feel the weight difference.

Ten Point:
- Fantastic reputation, never heard one bad thing about them
- Turbo II meets all the stats that mean something to me
- Made in USA/Strong support through this forum and on their site
- Built in cocking device (Acudraw 50)
- About $270 cheaper
- Specs were almost identical to Turbo II
- Top rail was solid aluminum like the Stealth (more expensive Ten Point model)
- Carbon Express has a solid reputation with arrows
- It seemed to be built well
- Can't find any reviews
- Website is lousy for crossbow support
- Warranty is 5 years, but even that required searching
- Includes decent carbon arrows and I do like adjustable forearm that also addresses finger safety
- New to crossbows and I suspect it is made in China
