Typical Bowtech ... cleverness. I like it. Other than the typical dreadful Excalibur camo color. 😂 (y)

It's different.... and UGLY!! 🤣😂
First off ... all Excaliburs are ugly. Other than a couple Wildcatter had redipped in a nice camo pattern. :p 😂
#2. In reality any crossbow with wheels is a Frankenbow. Recurves are the original pure crossbows.
#3. The "Customer Base" was clearly in mind with the ghastly colored camo. It's the most visible of the links to their past. And since 67% of our incoming sense are visual, it's a big'un.
#4. The "Twin Bow" was a great idea that in typical fashion DNRs jumped on banning it. That and the performance was too pedestrian.
#5. I give Excalibur/Bowtech credit for putting out a legitimate 400fps crossbow that "likely" won't be snapping limbs like their other attempts to stay relevant in a world selling speed. (y)

$2k is a lot to drop on this one. I really like the look of it but I dont think any Excalibur bow is worth more than $1,200. I was excited about it but the excitement has washed away and I'm back in common sense mode...keeping my R29X, lol. I hate new bow release days...
I was gonna ... say "Hold on a minute cowboy" when I read about switching out the R29X already. 😂 ;)

You've been caught up in the same vortex a thousand times in your life just like anyone else, whether crossbows or anything else is the subject matter. Say you haven't, without saying you haven't.
Strykezone 380 ... TruGlo Titanium 4 blades, Tooth of the Arrow, Hawk Crawler cart, Sidewinder cocking aid, etc., etc.... 😂 Never an Excalibur or recurve though. :p;)

The camo on the limbs doesn't even match the stock...looks odd.
All Excaliburs ... look odd. 😂 ;) Few more thoughts:
#1. I get the dog doo brown camo appeals to the traditional archer/recurve crowd and it makes sense to use that hook to make a RDT Excalibur more palatable to the staunchly stogy bunch, but they should at least offer one sexy Ravin camo, or a Ten Point Moss Green option to pull in the real crossbow aficionados. :p
#2. If the Hybrid-X is just as reliable, just as accurate, and a foot narrower, why would any Excalibur loyalist buy anything else??? It's illogical.
#3. "A picture is worth a thousand words" was never truer than looking at the flagship Rev-X albatross alongside the svelte Hybrid-X. Reminds me of this meme of two Ferrari & a dump truck.😂

It is not a reverse draw bow.
The limbs ... look untraditional and pointing forward to me. Which in my mind is the correct way to point. ;)

So….I take it that you won’t be joining or is this a hard maybe?😁
"IF" ... I were to buy a training crossbow to save wear & tear on my Ten Point Nitro505 and Ravin R29X I would consider the Excalibur Hybrid-X after it's out there for a while. It cocks with a crank, it's fast enough to mimic reasonably closely my two existing crossbows, it should handle close to my Nitro505 and it's from a great company with world class customer service. Plus, who could argue being included in the loyal to a fault Excalibur zealots? ;)

Don't let this cat fool you people...Duke's the reason Dave at Wyvern is sold out right now. He's gonna hoard 'em all!
My mad ... money is all spoken for. Taking my daughter's family to Disneyworld in September is costing a fortune, just bought a Kubota tractor and a trailer to haul it, and I'm back working on my guest house. My pockets are nearly turned inside out. I'd need a GoFundMe to get that Hybrid-X. 😂;)

If I had your money, Tom and I could burn ours and live on an island drinking pino coladas served by hot women in grass skirt hooks dancing from our private bar to our lounge chairs. :ROFLMAO:

It occurs ... to me "where's the downside to a world renown crossbow manufacturer coming out with another model crossbow?" We should be cheering for an expansion of choices. We also should be cheering and supporting them for bringing jobs to north America instead of supporting Asia. I for one hope the Hybrid-X is a rousing success and leads Excalibur to bump up the performance and features in the coming years. To expand their compound venture. I give them credit for intrepid temerity.
