Hello, I just did a speed test this morning with the magmax using 352gr and 402gr bolts

352grs =348.1 fps
402grs =330.2fps

Crossbow shoots great!

In the opening post you mention 348.1 fps and 330.2 fps based on total arrow weight of 352 and 402 gr's respectively. What weight was the field point or broadhead used for the chrono numbers?...I see a couple of posts later you mention Excal Pro Flites and a 150gr Exact broadhead. I know Excal arrows are shorter and lighter in respect to other mfg's arrows but just trying to do the math with the numbers given.

I'm very happy with the speeds that I got
There's alot of great crossbows out there that shoot faster for a much higher price point, but I've been shoot Excalibur crossbow for about almost 40yrs now and they never failed me, yes I would agree that speed sells, but accuracy kills .
These crossbows yrs ago were used by bill troubridge in Africa at much slower speeds to take any big animals on the planet.

Don't rely on what the "speed ring" says. It more or less coincides with a 350 gr arrow. The scope won't know that you upped the arrow weight to 400
