HI one and all,
have many questions about fletching bolts for my xbow. 1st has anybody used the carbon express crossbow fletching nock. 2nd have you tried other vanes like blazers? 3thd do you use straight clamps on a jojan jig? Ok for now if there are any tips that you feel I need to know I would welcome them

I use a jojan fletching jig I have both straight and right helical clamps. I'm using 4" vanetec's now but I have used blazers, 3" fusions, and 3" duravanes just to name a few. I like to try different setups I guess I'm a habitual tinkerer. The right helical was too much for my Brotherhood and was making contact with the grove in the flight deck so I swapped to the straight clamp it's set to a slight offset. You might want to check the blazers to be sure they don't bottom out in the grove they are too tall for some crossbows. I don't know how you are cleaning the shafts but I use hot tap water and a SOS pad then rinse with hot tap water. I use blue top gorilla super glue it works great and once the vane is stuck you will have to scrape it off. I have never used the CX crossbow fletching nock, I have the crossbow nock receiver. I would worry about it flexing under the pressure of the clamp when your gluing the vane to the shaft. If you have any questions I'll try and help all I can.

Hi Dropzone
What do you think of the items i order ?? I hope it's good !!
You will be good to go I have a grayling jig and it works perfect. You won't be disappointed in the Fusions they work great.

you say the blazers are to deep for some xbows. That might be a bummer for me was want to use them as I got a bunch of them xbow wont be here till later in the week to ck.would you happen to know about this combo on the Barnett Ghost 350?
Sorry buddy I can't comment on the Ghost all you can do is give it a try.

Some how I messed up the quote, I have the same jig and it works good. Once the glue gets on the clamp it will be a bugger to get off but if you rub a little string wax on it the glue wont stick. I ruined a clamp from glue build up, another thing you can do to keep you clamp clean is use some masking tape then when the glue starts building up just replace the tape and you ready to go. The 3" fusions should work good for you, I had some problems with them sticking and they (Norway) replaced them no questions. The ones that did stick flew great. Hope this helps good luck!

I fletch my crossbow arrows with a Whiffen brand fletching jig that I bought about 35 years ago. I use 2" Blazer vanes with a right helical twist. I believe there is an article on this website (in the ARTICLES section) that talks about 2" Blazer fletching for crossbow arrows. The fletching barely touches the side of the rail, but an arrow does not rotate until after it leaves the bow. I have no problems with accuracy. I fletch the arrows 1" from the end of the ARROW (NOT THE NOCK). The fletchings are not so far back that they interfere with the trigger mechanism. I made my own nock adapter before I knew Carbon Express made them. I lightly sand the arrow surface where the fletching is going to go and then clean with DENATURED ALCOHOL. I glue the fletching on with Bohning Platinum Fletchtite (silver tube). I use the same setup for hunting arrows and 3D target shooting.
