Hurricane ll 600 fps target

Not sure why they are cheaper, or pull the way a real bag target does either. I bought a Hurricane last summer when Cabelas had them on sale. Stopped arrows well, but a bugger to pull. Even lost an insert in it. Back to the store it went. Glad to hear that they got this one right.
I picked this one up at a yard sale for $10 a couple of months. It was hardly used. The stuffing didn't seem very well packed and was kind of spongy feeling. Shot it a few times and the arrows were very hard to pull! They penetrated a lot but not too far. I put a little rail lube on the arrows and they pulled a lot easier.

Looked it up to find it has what they call. Tri core technology. Built this hanger for it but haven't shot at it anymore. But it wasn't too bad to pull with the rail lube on the shaft at 350 fps. It was strange how in penetrated a lot but was so hard to pull. Like Chinese hand cuffs or something:D

Thats about all I use too Jeff is cheap DIY targets for field points. Some are a little fancier than others and some are more portable:D

One started out like this.

And eventually ended up like this for basically nothing other than the work involved.:D:D:D

Thanks to my daughter for the art work:D

I have owned many bag targets over the years and found that they will soak up water during a hard rain. This makes them very heavy and they mildew which makes them stink. I put mine in my garage when I am finished shooting if it is looking at all like rain.
I've got sheds around or shed roofs over mine.:D

I've also welded up 2 of these hangers now that a piece of plywood or what ever will sit on top to keep them dry.

I will say this Storm target is a good deal. I got if for $30 off ebay. Its kind of strange though. Sometimes the arrows are a little hard to pull. Other times they are very easy.I'm not sure whats up with that. It does stop a 446gn arrow at 380 fps no problem. Even with the pointed type of field points at 7 yards in the basement.
