It happened to me - RevX limb failure

After lunch, I decided to put the finishing touches on getting my RevX dialed in for Archery season here in Ohio. Everything was going great...probably shot about a dozen arrows. I wanted to shoot one last time to confirm everything was set. I cranked the string back...and immediately after I heard the "click", I heard a very LOUD crack. I was taken by such surprise, that at first I wasn't quite sure what had just happened...maybe the string hadn't fully engaged and it caught on the anti dry fire mechanism? Well I wish that was the case! After looking down at the bow, I quickly noticed that the left limb had failed...ughhh. Well I guess first thing tomorrow morning, I'll be calling Excalibur and will be trying out their supposedly top-notch customer service. I got my backup Micro 355 ready to go...so I'll still be able to hunt. FYI...I bought my RexX last year from Dave at Wyverns shortly after they were available for sale. Until today, things have been great!

Same thing happened to me. It seems they had a bad batch of Limbs.
Since then, I've not had an issue ,with over 300 shots on my next set. I got from Dave. You might want to check with him, he had some around and sent me a set. Then I ordered another set from him, to have a spare set ,to match my Kryptic camo.

Thanks for the heads up...
I emailed Dave and he responded quickly...saying he would have a replacement pair of limbs shipping out to me in the morning (will match my camo). What incredible service! Dave is a stand up guy...I'll be sure to buy my next crossbow from him.

Well good news and bad news...
I received my new limbs from Dave! However, after putting the new limbs on I was then trying to use my stringing aid to re-install my string. Big problem...cocking mechanism will not grab the string on the stringing aid! I've included a few pictures, but the hooks look like there already engaged? I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to see? Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem. I put the string of the cocking aid in there and then use a small allen wrench to trip the latch. That's the only way I've made it work.

If the latch is already engaged press the silver bar underneath to release it.

Thanks...
Are you referring to the silver bar that you access in the little opening down beneath the cocking mechanism? The bar that releases the cocking mechanism from the string? Where do you use the allen wrench to trip the latch?

Thanks for all the suggestions! Success! I was able to get the hooks down with the shaft of a long thin screw driver. Next time, I'll try the Allen wrench method. Thanks again guys. Oh...by the way. My first shot at 20 yards with the new limbs was perfect L-R and 3/4" high...dropped 6 clicks on my scope and hit the bullseye dead center...moved out to 40 yards and was dead center again. So ready to go! Thanks again to Dave from Wyvern Creations...my limb broke Sunday afternoon, and 72 hours later I'm already back in business. In this day and age, amazing customer service!
