Just left and was really impressed with the place.
They had two technicians come out and we talked about issues and fixes
I also picked up a Raptor to take home and test for best nock and arrow configuration
I ask about warranty and custom arrows
They said no problem as long as flat nocks are not used.
I will be posting more about our conversation especially the fix when I get home and have some free time.
I will also jump right on the arrows

A couple things that concern me in regards to the crossbow and I am wondering if
Barnett is going to or has made any changes:

1)lots of feed back where the sled is breaking due to the type of material originally used.
Having to push down on both sides of the sled when removing from a cocked crossbow is
working in a danger zone. Is this because the sled fits too tight? The style Barnett used on
the Ghost series was two hooks joined by a rod. The hooks move individually on the rod and
with a thumb and finger, the sled can easily be removed.

2)where the cable feeds through the hole in the cam. Even if the area is polished, to
me it is a poor design due to the cam rotating when cocked and shot which puts
continuous wear on the cable where it passes through the hole in the cam. My
thought here would have the cable pass through a bearing but with the size of the
cable loop, it would require a fairly large hole in the bearing resulting in a weaker cam
due to a larger bearing outer diameter.

Personally, bearings used in cams where the axle fits are a poor design and not required.
Bearings are designed for continuous motion. If one either opened up or observed one
of these damaged small sealed flange bearings and seen the very tiny balls, for use in a
crossbow, there is tremendous side pressure when cocking and shooting the crossbow.

Using a full length bushing will give added support to the axle which is mild steel. Using
my Barnett Ghost 410 as an example. This crossbow cams came with two flanged bearings
that had over size axle holes. Having to purchase new bearings when mine failed, Barnett
would only sell cams with bearings which were an added cost. The replacement bearings
had the same over size axle holes, so this is where I went to the one piece, full length bushing.
Since making this modification, no more problems in that area.

Wishing you all the best.
Take care.

Everything comes from China.
Not just that but most of the stuff we make here contains materials from over there somewhere.

My only real issue with it is the supply chain. Many manufacturers(not just crossbows) were completely screwed during the supply chain crisis. And now it's kinds gone back to almost "normal" but we know there are other things going on in the world that could put us right back in that situation in a minute. Any manufacturer worth its salt would be wise to plan a way around the crisis that's sure to rear it's head again.

But these are things for other folks to think about. I just put the shit in the hole and put a seedlin on top.👨‍🌾

That is cool this is in your backyard and you have a presence on CBN. Look forward to your follow up comments. As a Barnett user it interesting to see brick and mortar behind the Barnett badge.

I think the comment I made about the "factory" went off the rails. I was just curious about it. I suspected Barnett made and or assembled the bows overseas but since it was said to be a factory, I posed the question. I did not make any inferences about the quality. Hopefully this will get the thread back on track. (y)

I've been to China years back. Step back a minute and look around at your family, things you have, freedoms, ability to travel from one end of our country to the other without borders, decide how many children you desire to bring up, decide where to work, decide what profession you desire and you can put your head down at night knowing the BEST country on the planet protects us. We may have our issues here at home but I've seen the other side and it's a whole lot worse. We are very blessed in this country and to me, that's what tomorrow means to my family.
Happy Thanksgiving to all
