I have some Beast Broadheads ordered and a couple of their practice tips. Can I shoot the practice tips into the kennetic 1.0 target without damaging the target?

Rubber mulch target is very cost effective and works well. You can do a search and find multiple threads on the Mulch Bucket, a simple box filled with rubber mulch works too…
Rubber mulch on the left (JB Welded Swat XMag CPX) and a replacement cover for the Morrell 450 Plus filled with old clothes (Field Point). Those arrows were out of a TX440/Zulus on BH file @ 50 yards
thanks. I didnt know if the practice tip would be close enough to a field tip and shoot thru the bucket. I have a bucket made up. Just asking question to try to avoid ruining arrows
Sorry didn’t see that you were asking about the practice tips - guess I should read the whole question before sharing my thoughts… 🤷‍♂️
Practice tip might be safe? I prefer the real deal or as close as I can get for sighting broadheads - always have… But if the practice tip and broadhead have the same POI should be fine.
That's still a no go with practice tips. Anything that doesnt make a completely round hole is considered a broadhead as far as that target is concerned. You'll end up tearing up a high dollar target. You'll need to get one that's broadhead friendly.
me personally I would use a 18-1 rhinehardt for broadheads. Some folks have reported issues using mechanicals in a mulch bucket target. A blob target is another one but they are heavy and expensive.
I ordered one of these a few days ago...should be in tomorrow...I'm interested to see how it performs. Right now I'm using a Bass Pro Blackout foam target for broadheads...already had to cut one out as the whole insert pulled out with the broadhead attached.
IME, the practice head will tear up the cover on a good bag target much more than a field point. Maybe not the damage a functioning broadhead would do, but not good, especially for an excellent and somewhat costly target like a kinetic 1.0.
Thank you so much for your reply's! I ask here knowing some have already experienced what I am wondering. My boy uses a block target with the Beast broadhead. He skipped the practice tip. But he shoots a vertical bow and pushes the head thru, unscrews then pulls the arrow. I think mine is too short for that. And Im probably too weak. I hate to order a 150 dollar target at my age in Arizona where this may be the last and only season I can use the crossbow.
