This is the second time this has happened to me since I bought my Diesel X, last time I got injured.was just farting around taking some shots in my house and this thing almost got me in the face, my back up sled seemed kind of iffy too, so I packed it away and going to stick with my Venom X.

Happy you did not get hurt.
That is a poor quality sled. Rope cocking the sled can get easily twisted
causing it to break. This is the advantage of using a crank cocking device
as it pulls more in line. If one could get a sled where the hooks are connected
with a pin and made of aluminum. This style lets the hooks move individually.
Possibly a machine shop could build you one.
Wishing you all the best.
Take care.
