Brand new killer instinct logix crossbow blows up on 6th shot. The serving let go on the right cam and destroyed the string cams and limbs.boughtbbow shield protection and paid 100.00 more for it.killer instinct wants me to pay 100.00 more to fix their cheap strings that failed on the 6th shot.any one else have this type of problems with this company.got a run around when I tried to buy one direct from company and had to go through a dealer after waiting to get my money back from them and now this not a good company to deal with
You did not specify if it is killer instinct or a dealer wanting to charge $100.00 for repairs, and or what the $100.00 is for, shipping, strings and cables, etc. Additionally, where did the arrow go and what did it look like after the incident.
Regardless if you say you did nothing wrong, the crossbow should be inspected by a qualified service tech.

There are two possibilities, either crossbow defect or user error ( which could cover a lot of possibilities). No one here can determine the causes That is why I will repeat that a qualified service tech should inspect the crossbow. Absolutely no need for any further issues or even injuries.

Good luck, and keep us posted on outcome. That could be useful information for others here.

From what I understand with Killer Instincts policies, With the Bowshield coverage, even dry fires are covered as well as labor. However, strings and cables are chargeable but with a 10% discount. Shipping is the responsibility of the crossbow owner.

Q: Am I responsible for return shipping on a warranty claim?
A:
Yes, whether the crossbow is shipped back to the dealer or to KILLER INSTINCT™, shipping is the responsibility of the customer.

With that, I assume the $100.00 you are saying it will cost you is for discounted new strings and cables and shipping charges.

Their price on strings and cables are listed at 39.99 each, with a 10% discount that would be a charges of $72,00. the rest would be shipping charges.

Best to fully understand manufacture policies before any purchases.

However, upon inspection and being a new crossbow with the additional warranty, with a result due to a manufacture defect, perhaps killer Instinct will do better.

I understand your frustration, but ranting on Crossbow Nation will not get the issue resolved. Work with Killer Instinct and hope for the best. Let all here know the determination and causes of the damages and the final results.

Good Luck.

. Wicked Ridge is a much better crossbow brand than these cross the pond wannabe's. In the future save up your hard earned money & purchase a good solid well made crossbow "made" in North America.
Wicked Ridge advertises and states " Built " in America, not made in America.

Built means assembled, Made means manufactured. :)

I've read tenpoint makes good xbows.
I know from experience that my excalibur and mission xbows have been very reliable.
I've been waiting for mission to bring out something new.
You don't hear much at all about them having any problems.
I'm going to use my mission charge this year as primary and my x1 for back up.
Love the swat but the way they go through cables makes me wonder if it would come apart when up 20 feet off the ground.
It’s been what seven years and mission still has the same crossbow. Yeah it’s a solid crossbow but I don’t think their heart is in competitive crossbow designing.
Mission really has no desire or need to keep up with the jones, with the speed race and the latest and greatest, new and improved expensive crossbows.
Kind of like, If it isn't
broke don't fix it Attitude.
Their main business concentration is on the Matthews and Mission vertical bows.
