That's what happened to me with my new micro after 10 shots, the crossbow was loaded and broke after about half an 'now standing still. The brace was correct and arrows are used with the original weight of 400 grains
I consider myself lucky for not having done wrong, but you can not such unreliability ........

Nenokid, I would say you where lucky that it didn't wack you! I have had a Micro about a week and shooting it daily!! The reason I bought one was I had a limb fail on a Mission!! Let us know how Excalibur treats you. I have heard they are great folks to deal with.

Holy Crap a clean break off.
Now that is scary for sure.
As already said before you are very lucky you did not get a serious wack in the head. OUCH

I always thought the way in which Excalibur makes their limb that type of break was near to impossible. Makes one think wearing a helmet may be necessary

Will be interesting to see how long it takes to get it taken care of being your from Italy. Could be very expensive to return ship you limb set back and forth .

It is probably the 'Italian air that breaks the Excalibur because it is not the' only one to have had problems .....

Excalibur will take great care of you! Sorry your limb broke.
I have the 355.

Pretty crazy break. Sorry that happened to you. Most Micro limb failures are splinters or lengthwise cracks that are not a sudden snap. Yours could have been dangerous, obviously. No doubt your limbs will be replaced. I can see how you would have trouble trusting that bow again after that happened, no matter how many others are free of problems.

I bought a matrix 380, a mega 405 and last for a micro 335, all I respected the brace and I always used the original arrow from 400 grains .... you see this is the last break I had, the 380 isThey broke twice the Tip and Mega opened in two limb ....
What I mean is that no matter if you have the guarantee of replacement each time you have to wait months for the parts and so you can not pull, trust in this brand now if neither gone .... I hope that in the future will use materials more resistant.

Where the heck are you from that takes months to get parts?
Not from USA or Canada for certain. I can get parts in about three days when needed and I am no where near any suppliers. I do it all my snail mail.
First clean break I have seen on a Micro.

That's Rome.

Now i am in Milan :D

I am about 350 miles away from Milan.
Little off-topic from Italy, hoping it will be tolerated.

That green thing is a bubble level to prevent canting the bow. Probably glued in place.
I know what it is, that said: It is not an Excalibur approved modification. Some glues are corrosive.

################################

I say more: it is useless :)

How many eyes one has? When one see through scope he cant see the bubble.
It is a sort of cheating, what the heck? If i block the xbow using one of this and shoot:

Will it be honest?

(Micro does not have even a bipod)

Edit

An example:

I have a Toyota pick-up 4x4, if i modify it to get better performances and for whatever reason i crash my car insurance will say: You modify your car so we dont pay you! Your modifyed car shouldnt be on the road.

That's how things work in industrialized countries.
In the third world i've seen everything on the road :D
It was like to be in the Mad Max movie :D

It 'a bubble level bonded with silicone ...... but do not you see?
You want me to even explain what is? You want me to do a calculation to an engineer to see if you can cause damage arts?

I said that i know what it is and i dont "want" i say:

Whatever modifications you do onto your crossbow must be approved by the Excalibur. You dont have to make a a calculation. You should have asked Excalibur if it is possible to put the level bubble there and what glue you have to use, period.

You can modify whatever Excalibur crossbow but once it is modified without permission that Excalibur is non longer an Excalibur.
Excalibur has nothing to do with it.

To tell it all

My PSE TAC 15 exploded because i did something wrong, something that i've read in a forum.
Even a wrong lube is dangerous.

I don't think you would even read the bubble level stuff on the Excal forum. Put a bubble level on the riser, snap a limb? Never heard that one before. :shok:
Nonono...

It's not that, these guys need to make cool video to post on youtube and they stress their crossbows, that's what i think.

I think the bubble is only one of the visible modifications.

It is not my business, they can modify whatever they want and hit an apple from 2 miles, it is not my problem if they broke crossbows.

management claims there is NO limb problem....
they are adamant about that...
Amazing the last 5 posts are about broken limbs and, could happen to more guys in these upcoming weeks.
Yikes I'd expect that from driving a truck over it. Not for trying to shoot a 300fps arrow. I don't stop in this forum often because I'm not a re-curve guy but, it's noticeable when you see the problem posts repeating all year. I'd say I've seen more than a few limb problems this entire year posted about to see they may have a problem. At some point guys may see "Don't worry about it they will fix it" as Why would I put my health at risk?
History lessons guys. Mechanical problem Items left unchanged will repeat. Not if but, when. Now there will be 10 guys saying mines fine and, tomorrow your this. Seen it happen time and time again.
Glad you weren't injured Nenokid. I hope you get back in the saddle with a product with better results.

... Crappie.tom,Thank you very much for your response and concern that is equal to my ...
Perhaps many years not yet realized that if it happened to me three times and my other two compatriots there is a real problem for all owners of Excalibur last generation, so I think we should be more careful and take these posts as a warning not to mock because the health of our Shooter is worth much more than arts changed for free.

I have a black one and really like it....will keep shooting it...though that is a little scary there for it to break clean, no splinter, no warning just snap in two. I've had a couple 380's develop splinters but never seen one break in half like this.
