My Verdict To Date on my Micro AXE 340

If anyone is considering buying an Excalibur crossbow, I would "highly" recommend the Micro AXE 340 Kryptec, with all the "bells & whistles".
The SDS + Air Brakes do their job

Until I bought the AXE I didn't realize how "loud" my other Excaliburs are.
Last night I was shooting my AXE for a bit, then I decided to take a few shots with my Matrix 350 LE which is equipped with the Dr. Stirrup dB Killers Limb Silencers and Stoppers. The difference was like night and day. The Matrix had a high pitch twangy sound, while with the AXE, the only sound I noticed was the arrow hitting the target.
I wasn't the only one to notice the difference. My wife happened to be in the basement while I was shooting. The first shot I took with the Matrix startled her, and she commented how much louder it was in comparison to the AXE 340.
IMO, the AXE is a real winner on many counts, it's a premium crossbow at a entry level price.
It fits nicely in my Plano Double Gun Case.

I certainly appreciate owning the AXE more with each and every passing day, and I'm sure others would agree.

Comfybear when you break it down to put it in the case and reassemble it is scope adjustment necessary?
I bought the Mossy Oak Axe it has no silencers on it. It's so light I don't want to put any extras on it. I don't even like the quiver on it. It messes up what is a perfectly balanced rig. I have no problem carrying it in front of me one handed. It's a lot easier to carry than my previous crossbows which are nose heavy and awkward to handle. All in all the Axe is my favorite crossbow to date.

No scope adjustment is needed, I've found that to be the case with my other Excaliburs as well.

Considering that I owned Excalibur crossbows since 1989, and still own a Exocet 200, and just sold my Exomax, I got so used to their size, and liked the extra forward weight.

I find the Micro AXE to be small, compact and well balanced. Without the extra weight up front I would think it would feel too light compared to what I'm used to.
I suppose it all about what one gets used to. I have to admit that now that I've handled and shot the AXE for a while, the Exo-series Excaliburs seem rather cumbersome, when I first pick them up, but when I shoulder them, I find I can hold them a bit more steady than my Matrixes or AXE .

I think I might pull the trigger on the axe for my dad. Debating on the Micro AXE 340 Kryptek Raid or the Micro 335 RAID.. he likes the raid color camo lol
In my opinion, the AXE is the best bang for your buck. It's virtually the same as the 335 RAID. The only difference is the scope, riser, a black quiver, one less arrow and no cheek piece. However its MSRP is $300 (approx. 30%) less, which can buy you a lot of accessories.
