He advertises like crazy on my State's hunting forums and has done so for many years. He should have built up a clientele by now. This is the first review I have seen of any kind about his operation.

Good to hear Joe has come a long way since I hunted with him many years ago. He is a down to earth guy and easy to work with. He does have some good areas in Ohio to hunt. Wife and I hunted with him late muzzleloader and seen one button buck between us.

Just wanted to let everyone know the experience my father and I had while hunting with @OhioJoe.
First off, Joe is a really nice down to earth guy.
we showed up on the farm the first day ready to hunt and unpaid for the day and gave us exact directions to our blinds. The hunts are semi-guided, basically Joe supplies you with the land and baited sets and you can choose to use those sets, or choose to hunt anywhere on the land. You can come and go as you please.
The first night I wasn’t in the blind more then 20 minutes and had a deer standing right in front of me, a theme that would repeat over and over all week. The set my father was in was the same situation, deer almost immediately upon entering the blind almost every time we went into the woods. I saw at least a dozen does and small bucks each and everyday. My father passed on about 120 Inch 8 point day 1, something he would regret in the end, but it’s the chance we take.
We hunted the one farm for 3 days I took a doe just as a meat deer while we were there. Joe asked if we would like to try other farms of which he leases 11 separate farms. We said yes why not, we had been in and out of these sets a few times. Granted we always saw a deer, but figured we’d try other spots.
Joe showed use the new farms and sets and was on his way again. I was in a Sugar Beet field this time. My father was in a woods set both with big buck sign and obviously a lot of deer activity all over. First night I counted 35 deer in the field and dozen does were right in front of me, there were some really big bucks at other end of the field. I could see them through the scope, really nice bucks 150” deer IMO. My father was seeing deer in the new spot as well.
On the last nights sit I went back to the Beet field and same as the night before the deer started rolling out of the woods into the field, a bunch of does right in front of me. I watched them and the fawns for about hour and right before dark a descent 9 point stepped out and decided was now or never since was the last sit, I took the shot. I didn’t really get great pictures as it was pitch dark by time I drug him out of the woods.
I would say by father and I had to see about 60+ deer each at minimum in 5.5 days hunting Joe’s farms.
I just wanted to let everyone know what a great time my father and I had on this trip. We will be going back next year and more than likely for the foreseeable future. Joe was an absolute pleasure to work with and a really nice guy who has some killer property. If you’re looking for an outfitter in Ohio, I don’t think you can go wrong booking a hunt with Joe Pacconi. @OhioJoe here on the forum.
here are some photos from the hunt and some photos of some of the deer Joe has on these properties. Several of which I saw with my own eye and my father saw several as well. So glad you and your Dad had a great experience at Pacconis Trophy Whitetails of Southern Ohio. Looking forward to seeing you every season congrats and God Bless !!

Well, if I am at the outfitter website, looking for a new hunt and they have no prices and explain what is included, what is not, I am usually out.
I don't like that sells practice "call and we'll make sure we reel you in with our sweet BS sales talk".
Just saying.

Looks like OhioJoe is a real-deal outfitter with plenty of deer on his properties. Glad you and Dad made a few more memories and congrats on the 2 deer you took.:)

I get asked why I don’t have a website everyday. Simple answer of that is I could no way keep up with the orders I would get on a website so there is really no reason for me to have one and spend the money on one. I assume Joe is probably the same reason for not having one. Most of his slots are booked and rebooked every year according to him so really no point in having one. This is and assumption as to why he doesn’t have one.

I totally understand. Building a website, testing, running and maintaining is not that cheap also.
But my point was not about that. Instead of put the deal you have for the clients out, you want them to call or message you.
Bigger companies do that all the time, so their trained sells personal can up sale you.
I guess there is nothing wrong with that, but just if I have to call someone and find out how much $$ and for what,
instead have that info upfront and then call to book the trip feels like someone is hiding something from you or he is overpricing
his services and want to reel you in over the phone anyways.

I was going to keep my mouth shut but I can’t like normal. I was looking at places in Ohio to hunt I didn’t think anyone was going to be able to go with me this year for diy state land. Pm Joe no answer so I called left message no return three days in a row finally after four days of calling I get ahold of him. He tells me $1,400 hundred- $2,200 for a 4.5 day hunt no place you find your on room. By now my opinion is made up but I’m fishing for confirmation. Ask can you recommend a place oh just google motels by this town they’re all great. Then here comes the pressure well if you want I only have 1 hunt left guy just cancel this morning for next week this is on a Friday I can let you have it for 1,200. I told him to short notice. Yesterday lo and behold after the review he finally messaged me . So being the type person I am I call him. I tell him who I am he starts with his pitch oh and by the way I have one opening it’s in January.I heard enough I tell him we had talked on phone in September trying to jog his memory to no avail. Finally I tell him imo your over priced. Several outfitters in Ohio are charging same but a housing is provided you supply your meals for that price range. I understand not remembering names but when you try jog the memory most folks end up remembering and saying oh ya ect.
this is only my opinion and experience with him also I originally ask well do any cell cam pictures you could send me his reply I’ve been to busy to get them out😂 ok. I said well what’s your success rate percentage? Well I don’t have one cause every can’t hit where they should. I said I totally get that but most outfits have a percentage for kill rate year to year. I would say BEWARE!!!
