So I think I'm going to get my first crossbow. My vertical bow is 10 yrs old. I had thiught about upgrading until I shot a few, and the bow i want will run about $2200. Thats more than i can justify spending. Iright now im leaning towards giving the vertical bow a tuneup and getting a crossbow
I primarily hunt whitetail out to 50 yards, but most of my shots in the cover I hunt will be 25 yards or less and I almost always hunt out of a tree.
I've been doing lots of research and the R10 seems to have all around great reviews and is at the top of my price point. The other bows mentioned seem pretty good to me too, and I could save a few hundred bucks so I can afford a case, broadheads, etc.
Anyway what Xbow would you recomend for a tree hunter newbie?
I've even considered just getting a $500 starter package and if I don't like it much it can be a backup.
