Technically there are Gen 4a, 4b, and 4c "Extreme" cams for the 2015 model year. Extremely minor engineering changes to the cam lobe on the underside of the cams. We'll just call them Gen 4's!
which ones found there way onto production bow's 4a 4b or 4c ?

I’m not a rocket scientist but common sense might dictate the earlier 2015 Extreme bows may have started with 4a, then some may have been made with 4b cams, and the remainder of that model year were with the final 4c version. It’s also possible very few or even none were built with either the 4a or 4b cams, but I would think the 4c is the only one they were using at the end.

Most likely only Scorpyd would know how many were built with each version - IF they even kept that type of info.

I had a limb shear on my DS380 and sent the limbs with cams in to Rex, and I got back a set of Gen 7 cams (2019 Nemesis 480) and what appeared to be considerably thicker limb tips.

Using the factory Rogue string and cables, I set it to the DS380 specs.

I would assume I could set this up a bit hot if I wanted without damaging anything - correct?

Gordon or Barnsdale limbs?
No clue, wouldn’t know how to tell. I don’t recall seeing anything even if I got any paperwork with them.

I remember reading something somewhere about thicker limb tips on the faster models up from the DS 380. My replacement tips measure about .470” thick and that was the spec for the heavier limbs I believe.

My DS380 ATA is 17 1/2”, the DS 420 is 16 1/2”.

My string length is 43 3/8” and the cables are 17 1/4”. I would think the DS 420 is a combination of those two being shorter to maintain proper cam timing.

I’m sure there’s a formula to determine the string and cable lengths to get to just a 17” ATA but I have no idea what that is.

Would that apply to all Scorpyd cams or just Gen 8 & 9?

Might as well add the Gen-8 and Gen-9 cams to this thread. These cams are bow specific, both in ATA and Power Stroke. You want the string in the groove along the straight section of the cam while cocked. These were the best pics I could find on this site right now.
