So a few weeks ago the cocking strap on my viper s400 broke while cranking the handle. I was about halfway back when it broke. It damaged the string, string stops, barrel, and turn buckles. I had just replaced the string and cables 54 shots earlier. The bow itself has a 1000 shots on it. I never noticed any evidence of failure from that strap. I reckon it just reached the end of its life. Ten Point got everything fixed and I'm sighted in. It did shoot about 6in higher than it was previously. I guess maybe because of the new barrel idk. But the xbow shoots great always has. Thanks to the ten point staff for getting to it in a timely manner.

I'm about ready to buy a new one. I'm waiting to see if they make something i can't live without for 2026. Otherwise I'll keep shooting the ol viper. I'm not interested in the double riser rail less bows. To me the ol proven rail design is simple, really dependable and easy to nock an arrow. Considering the turbo x but my current press will not press that bow. I really want the ability to tune my bow. I'm using a ravin press now. Works perfectly on certain ten points. A new bow press is really pricey.
