Yeah, lots of opportunities for sure. I used to small game hunt when I had a Brittany, some waterfowl, and salmon/steelhead fishing in NY. The guys I used to fish and waterfowl hunt with aren’t really interested that much anymore. Pretty much just deer hunt with the crossbows now.

I think I'd buy a nephew or grand kid a shotgun for the price of free ducks and geese each year and maybe shoot some skeet to get the bird hunting out of your system. Find you a nice seafood restaurant and skip the walleye fishing and focus on bow hunting, lol. I assume you eat walleye...I don't know...never fished for any.

Yes I have missed out on all this wonderful fun hunting over the past at least 25 years targeting adult Bucks 99% of the time. I'm trying very hard to talk myself in to just bow meat hunting again and enjoying the rest of my hunting life just having fun while putting some deer meat in the freezer.

I'm going waterfowl hunting this morning. I'm taking my grandson hunting just me and him Friday for the first time. I'm excited to start that chapter of my life. Me and my Brother are hunting with each other hes not into deer hunting.

Its time to just have fun :).

I agree. This time of year I have to make choices and plan to get as much fun stuff in with a small window of time.

In MN the fall bite fishing is just to start now with water temperature dropping.

Duck is open.

Pheasant opens this Saturday.

Having our first frost right now.

This is the first cold spell. Last weeks have been upper 70's and low 80's.

I want to hunt deer, fish, and shoot roosters.

(Then there is all that nasty yard work and winterized thing to do)
