Ive been posting on the Mission manufacture corner about getting a new bow. I had made up my mind I was going to get a Sub1 bare bow. Well I was informed this morning they can’t get a bare bow. So I ask how much for the kit it was like $1550 to $1600 ended up being $1642 out the door,

So I called across the river and spoke to the head bow tech I have known him for years through buying archery stuff. I was over there the other day and saw a mission sub1 xr for $1800 I’m rounding up. I said what’s the least you will take for that bow. He said we bought this bow before the price hike so I’ll let you have it for $1600. I said I’m headed that way lol.

I got it set up and turned the poundage down one turn. It’s a little hard to cock the first couple inches then it almost cocks its self. Decocking is just so easy it shouldn’t be aloud lol.
I cut some old arrows to 18” they work ok but I’m going longer. I did sight in the 20 yard crosshair at 20 yards on the OX. It’s very quiet I think my arrows are 460 grs. Trigger is sweet accuracy is there.

I have some shafts that should be here Thursday if they make it I’ll fletch up some I ordered 20” I can cut them to 19 but I might try them at 20 first.

I’m not going to finish sighting it in until I get the new arrows unless there running late then I’ll use the 18”. She’s going hunting Saturday the first day :).

I believe the consensus here is you made the right choice, and as a Sub 1 owner, I agree. Just tell yourself you only had to lay out the cash just once, and you are set for many years to come. Dave at Wyvern's often has some great deals with Mission crossbows too. He is a bit more flexible when putting together custom packages.

I ordered some Arrow shafts from Dave. I thought i'd try his dragon claws i normally shoot zombies and i have 4 set up to carry hunting Saturday.

Mission is a dealer focused and around here you buy from a local dealer and have any problems they roll out the red carpet. The first mission i bought was a 320 the first year they came out. After about a year i had a limb splinter. I called the same guy i bought the bows from the 320,400 and the XR anyway i walked in the door and heard before the door closed behind me. I all ready called Mission the limbs are headed this way hard to beat that kinda service 6 miles from the house. The other Mission dealer 30 miles away is also top shelf. I deal with them both. Nothing against Dave hes also a great dealer.
