What broadheads do you use and why?
Tricks are Cool but I dont like the short little blades. I prefer a longer blade that get to cut of a longer stroke. I shotem in my compound bow last yr and wasnt overly impressed looking back. I was impressed with how they flew and the overal design is freaking solid just not my type of heads. If they shoot good though I will usem with my horton.Another good head making alot of waves today is the Slick Trick.
It looks like a really good head, and easy to sharpen.
hey hey howie----just got some 125 gr. hellraisers for my koda express and they shoot very good with 2219 shafts and a 4 inch vane. I like to try different broadheads, all kinds.the hellraisers are really put together and like the fact that they can be sharpened by hand with a good combo stone. going to do the final testing on these hellraisers today at 30 yards and will post the resultsI use a 125 grain Hellrazor. I am a firm believer in cut on contact heads. even with the added enrgy and the fact i put a 25 yard limit on my xbows as well as compounds i am not a fan of mechanicals, do they work/ sure they do but i trophy hog hunt and only shoot the biggest dominat boar in the area that i find. also most fixed blade heads are tougher more durable and easy to resharpen. give me any magnus or hellrazor i can sharpen them on the stone or an accusharpener pick it up screw it on another arrow and put it through another animal. I myself dont care about velocity or energy the most important thing is being able to hit the vitals!!!
