Their rev x is 1500. $2k isn't an insane price. Look at comparable tenpoint and Ravin bows that offer similar speeds and features. Add in the fact that it can be field serviced without a press, and the accuracy that's being claimed. I'll be interested in seeing how well the limbs hold up. That said, I think they'll sell a ton of them. Getting over that 400 fps hurdle and doing it with a 400+ grain arrow is huge for them. If this things proves to be as accurate and reliable as they're claiming, I'll sell my tenpoint and buy one. I also feel like they could gain more speed by using reverse draw cams to maximize the power stroke, 450+ fps doesn't seem out of the realm of possiblity now.

Seems to me they have been listening to everyone's wants . They hit this one outta the park. Just in a package that is seemingly throwing everyone off...

Field serviceable....not the most straight forward and not something I would want to do in 20 degree weather but still pretty simple....

+400 fps with a 400 gr arrow...almost tired of hearing everybody bitching about every manufacturer using 350 or 370 to get the rated speed but recommending a 400gr arrow.....

It appears from Lancasters video to have a folding stirrup....

Cams are in a position that doesn't make them vulnerable like limb mounted cams. Infact they seem to be partially caged.....

Extremely narrow for an Excalibur. Duke can't even call it a boat anchor...lol...looks pretty maneuverable in tight woods....

Crank cocking and safe decocking....

Nocks that aren't going to crack....

Same hole accuracy beyond most "ethical " hunting ranges.....

True adf.....

Time will tell but I bet this goes over better than most expect...Kudos to you Excalibur 👏

Agreed, I'll be watching some of the arrow builders posts about how well it shoots and how well the strings and cables hold up. I know a few guys put the bows through the ringer trying to find the perfect arrow combination (though apparently they're not selling the nocks separately yet). So it may be a while before we see custom arrows.

I fancy myself as an Excalibur guy. I’ll never not own one. This bow truly gets an arrow over 400fps even with a 450gr arrow. Not sure why Lancaster’s did not. Rev X crank, tried and true. Yea you can can complain about the LOP but it’s still a good set up. Lots of testing went into the bow. The limb compound has been enhanced to keep the limbs together. 1000’s of shots on their test models. Insane accuracy even for an Excalibur. The cam set up, much different than I would have thunk. Honestly, I tried to get them to re-visit the Solution bows. Notta! And that’s a good thing. Sound dampening only reduces speed about 3fps and actually works well. Don’t leave them off. Nocks are proprietary and they won’t be selling them any time soon. You’ll have to purchase Excal arrows. This bow to me is a winner. Especially if you’re a speed person. Plus, you can still work on in the field. Is that process different? You bet but still no press needed. This is a great platform to enhance and grow. I think I can kill a deer or two with it.

I just saw that the Limited Lifetime Warranty is actually only good for 6 years but they are offering an Extended Warranty for purchase. :(

Agreed, and Ive said it before myself.
But right at this moment there is a shoot out happening between a Rev-X and a Hybrid-X in the backyard both with 450 GRN Arrows, and the Hybrid-X is a clear outlier. I don't think to say that it's inherently more accurate, but it's definately easier to shoot and balanced better, meaning it shoots more accurate.

And the two guys shooting can't see worth a Darn. Already had to go get an arrow from the back property.

It's nice to see an attempt at something new, but the string change thing is a bust, in my opinion. I don't wanna be a negative Nancy here, but on my several-years-old Sub 1XR I can change strings without needing an online study course. The one thing I absolutely do not like is that when the Hybrid X is cocked back it doesn't automatically engage the safety. It can only be cocked with a crank. No adjustability in the stock. It's heavier and louder than it should be. If it has anything going for it, it's the speed with a heavier arrow; although, every modern crossbow is producing more than enough energy for anything one would want to hunt. It has a 5 year warranty. The best warranty is not needing a warranty, but I'd still rather have a lifetime warranty and never need it. One could buy three Killer Instinct Logix RDC 435 for the price of one Hybrid X, and have everything the Hybrid X is missing.

For the Excalibur gang it does appear to be an upgrade in to a more compact and faster bow, so it's good for that group. I don't see this bow attracting folks from other manufacturers though.

Pretty much as I see it and I would not be surprised if those in the Excalibur gang that do buy this bow, reverting back to no wheels.

Well I missed the big revel yesterday. I was out on the Missouri river trying to refill my freezer with catfish so I missed out on all the fun. Sat down last night and reviewed the vids that are out, checked into CBN to see what you all were saying. Then went over to Dave's site and found they were sold out already....wow. Anyway told the wife like many here do that this would be my last one....I realy promise this time.....She said save your breath Cowboy I heard that one too many times. Bless her heart, she still backs me up. So I have one ordered and will receive it after Dave gets restocked.

My mad ... money is all spoken for. Taking my daughter's family to Disneyworld in September is costing a fortune, just bought a Kubota tractor and a trailer to haul it, and I'm back working on my guest house. My pockets are nearly turned inside out. I'd need a GoFundMe to get that Hybrid-X. 😂;)
