I use hang on stands but plan in getting my 8 yr old daughter up in a tree with her Pi k Lady this year and need to get 2 good ladder stands. Seeing as my old ass will just be watching her I want to be comfortable. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance for the help

I really like the quality of the millennium equipment. I have their shooting chairs in our blinds and they sure are well made and comfortable to sit on. I have put together several of their tower tri-pods as well and they were very sturdy and well made. Just do not think you can go wrong with this brand. BUT, there may be others that are just as good.

I found this at wally world a few weeks back on clearance. 80 bucks. My 11 yr old grandson wants to hunt this year.

Shoulda bought two but I really only needed one stand.

I'd vote Hawke Sasquatch as well. I've got Muddy's too and prefer everything about the Hawke's over the Muddy. Funny that there are now owned by the same parent company.

This is just a 1.5 but it's super comfortable and the ladder is one of the safest designs out there.

Great stands.. I had one like it until it decided to walk away. I despise thieves!

Millennium M150 ... been using one for 3 years now and love it. Killed a pile of deer out of it. Have the optional M101 shooting rail on the two stands I have. The other is the smaller M100U that I've used a couple times. Also have a superb G100 chair I use in blinds or when using my truck shooting platform in a stationary location. Love them all. (By the way, I cable and lock my M150. They can steal it but they're going to have to work to get it.)

Just my .02 cents, I watch for how the bottom of the seat is constructed. Many of these are using a canvas style instead of the old hard base with padding. I have found the metal support for the canvas which is underneath the bottom portion of the seat to dig into my hip or thigh sometimes and becomes uncomfortable. A pillow or therma seat pad can help if you are sitting for a long time. Good luck in your choice.

You're ... right about one thing for sure, a seat cushion is wise with the mesh fabric on some of these chairs like the Millenniums. You're looking at a cold arse in winter without one...lol All that air circulation is well enough early season, but late season it's a killer. ;)

We have several Millennium 220's on our lease. They are pricey but awesome. They hold up real well in the weather too. Mine has been in use for 5 years in the weather, a little faded, but still going strong. I am also looking at the River's Edge Lock Down ladders as well. You can get a double at 21' which is rare. A comfortable seat and a full platform are musts for me. IMO - a comfortable tree stand is as important as your other gear. The longer you sit still, the more deer will see and kill. Sit in an assbuster, you will be down at 9 or 9:30 to get breakfast. I often sit untill 11 now, and now know how many deer I was miss seeing at 10:30 :)🦌

I was in the same situation last year with taking11 year old grandson deer hunting with crossbow season. I went with a rivers edge 2-man lockdown. With my main feature likes was a larger foot platform and adjustable shooting rail. Another like was a foldup seat. I can also relate to sorry old bones and being comfortable. So I also purchased the following seat cushion. Because of squirrels, I carry the cushion in and out on each hunt. It is quite comfortable. Good Luck.

I've had ... the same issue with mice chewing up and nesting inside treestand seat/cushions. I found by hanging them from my EZhangar the damage completely ceased. This way you don't have to worry about forgetting to bring the cushion. Not bad if it's just a padding cushion on a metal or mesh seat, but quite a few of my hang-ons use suspension seats. Forget the seat and you're screwed...lol

I am not really familiar with their singles. I am satisfied with the rivers edge two man lockdown, and I am generally quite fussy, especially when it comes to hunting items. I also liked the ease of putting ladder sections together. Only issue I had, was with original assembly, with the holes in the two section platform not lining up. I had to re drill a couple to line up, really not much of a deal, just a little frustrating.

The width of the 2 man ladder stands make me nervous. I’d want several ratchet straps and maybe some side supports from the edge of the platform down to the tree - especially if I had my 8 year old daughter in it with me. Good luck.

On my Rivers Edge two man lockdown, It has a lower tree claw, on the base platform, and a upper tree claw on the seat bracket. Both are designed for ratchet straps. There is absolutely no problem with any movement from weight being off center. Even when I sit alone, I sit off to one side for easier crossbow movement. Even with windy conditions, the stand is safe and solid. (y) :)
