Pretty sure they guy at BP is wrong. Most dont know jack about crossbow has been my experience with them at BP.I would buy else where. You can check the Barnett page here but Im pretty sure he is wrong.Personally if I were going to buy a Barnett I would not get the Q400.Their newer line of bows are better imo at good prices.I owned a quad so speaking from experience.Check online for the best prices.

I have the Raptor and would suggest it over the Quad based on weight and width. That is of course if it feels good to you. It is length adjustable. At 18" ATA it's hard to beat!
16" ata 18 inch overall length to outer cams.

I checked the BassPro website and searched for "Barnett Crossbow recall" and I saw nothing that addressed that. There was a recall notice on PSE, but nothing I could find on Barnett! If there is a recall, I need to know. - razor edge
razor edge, my post was disputing the recall and I was stating I still see them online since the previous post mentioned they took them off the shelves and off online... If you really want to find out if there truly is a recall, then hit Jesse the Barnett rep on this forum. I believe Bass Pro is one of his stores he trains on the Barnett xbow brand. If not Jesse, then call Barnett customer service.

I see them on line now. Friday when I looked them up it gave an error code. My friend and I went to Bass pro to buy him a crossbow on Friday they had all of their Barnett Bows behind the counter and would not sell him one. He wanted a Ghost as I have the Ghost 350. The rep said there was a recall because the bolts are causing the bow to dryfire. I have found nothing to back up their statement. Bow season opens here in Oklahoma the 1st of October so i wanted to know. I do know he had the money in hand and Bass Pro in Okc would not sell him a Barnett like he wanted and they said whatever you do do not buy a Barnett crossbow. I have had no problem with mine in the last two years

Greg, contact Barnett customer service and notify them of what you are being told from this Bass Pro shop. At least you should find out if it is true and Barnett would probably appreciate the information if indeed no recall. Another note, look online and you may find some good deals, but I would not wait long since season is upon us. Some online offer free shipping and no tax, I purchased my BCX from outdoors experience and only paid the advertised price no tax and free shipping.
