I seem to remember that a while back someone posted a tutorial...
I'd really appreciate it if anybody can point me in the correct direction...Thanks!

I don't think they intend for folks to replace the battery, but you certainly can. The unique issue is that they use a non-permanent adhesive on the Beacon nocks that I have (early versions) to help hold the battery in place. If you replace the battery you'll lose some of the adhesive. Sure, a drop of super glue is a permanent fix but then you'll never replace it again. Perhaps someone has a recommendation for replacement adhesive. Or maybe it will work fine for you with the residual adhesive left over from the initial battery.

Removal of the existing battery is quite easy. First, make note of how far the existing battery is inserted because you'll want to match it with the replacement. Using a pair of needle nose pliers, flip the nock over to the side opposite of the switch to the oval opening. Put one end of the pliers on the top of the battery and the other on the bottom of the nock. Press lightly and the battery will side down. You should be able to easily pull it the rest of the way out.

It uses the standard CR-425/BR-425/LM-425 battery. Hope this helps.

If by cork system you're referring to the little PITA rubber o-ring on some Lumenok's, it appears that may be just enough. The oval opening does nothing on the one side, but the o-ring being in place on the other side seems to work. Though it may add a tiny bit of extra weight.

You'll likely be fine without adding any glue. The launch of the nock could cause the battery to seat on the switch as well so you'll likely be lit all the way to the target which is the goal. Where the glue will help is when the nock comes to an abrupt halt like hitting a firm target. By that point, it's mission is over.

They work really well...after I had a Lumenok battery explode on the back of my front insert when the arrow hit the target...I started using the corks. Ive got them in 32 arrows and they work great. I use them for the GTCs and the Rhinos. The one I had an issue in wasnt in a fast setup either...it was shot from a Wolverine at about 348fps.
