Jim-

I am hoping you see this thread or someone informs you of it...

I am really close to buying a Scorpyd. Most likely the Telson 130 with a slight possibly the RDT150 will be the choice. Anyhow there are some issues I would like to see you publicly commment on...

1. What, if anything, has been discovered about the fraying cable problem on the RDT 165?

2. Would you be willing to, at the customers request, replace the Winners Choice cable/string combo with the Viper-X cable/string combo?

3. Have you had a chance to examine giannid's 165 that he had trouble with? What were the findings?

4. How many Telson 130's have had the same cam problem Super91 is experiencing? Are you going to reimburse customers for replacement strings and are you going to replace the cams that are having this problem; if it's a problem at all and not just an isolated incident?

5. How is the arrow development coming for the RDT 165?

If you could take a bit of your time and thoroughly answer these questions, it would help myself and others a bunch. Not to mention, reinforce confindence not just in your current products, but your company as well.

Thanks

Giannid, obviously I know your problem was real, but the horse is already dead...

I am not looking to "bash," I am just looking for answers. You're ruining this thread fast. I am asking you a favor: Could you please go back and change your posts so they just say "edit" or contain a question that has not been asked already(just state it in the positive...). Thanks.

Giannid-

Spare me the Nazi Germany nonsense. This thread wasn't started for anyone to bash or get on their soap box about a product. It has nothing to do with censorship This is the second thread in as many days that your posts dragged down. The other was on AT. I just want an answer to my questions and other's thoughts on where they think the problem may be. Again, stop using every thread as YOUR podium. I appreciate your views regarding scorpyd and I completely agree with you but there is a time and place to vent...lets not make it this thread. Thanks.

Redm2, take my opinion any way you want. But I owned 2 and have had a bad experience with both that I think all should know about. If you don't like my posts, please do not read them. And with the issues I had, no one ever came to me and said what the problem was. I also read on the forum about more problems that are developing. So I have every right to voice my opinion. I have also been sent PM's from members that were thinking of purchasing a scorpyd and decided to hold off to see what the resolution was. I'm not the only one that have had problems, there are many. And the new Telson model also has had some problems from another post on here. The cable wear/slide issue is not gone. And my 165 was the one Jim took to the ATA show and showed to the whole archery world. All's he did was put new strings and cables on it and sent it to me. I requested one that already had some shots through it as I figured if there were any problems with the bow, they would of came out already. That's why I believed the cables were to be defective. I hope the problem does get resolved. I think it is a fine bow that just needs the bugs worked out. But I don't think it's the consumers job to do that for the manufacturer. And I don't think anyone should be doing there own machining of defective parts and purchasing new cables after 15 shots with there own buck. I also own and operate my own business and I know all about keeping the customer happy and I understand that some customers will not be happy no matter what you do for them. I'm not one of them and am very reasonable. I've sent 3 bows back to scorpyd and paid the shipping myself. I also spent hours shooting them to get them dialed in only to figure out there was something major wrong. But all this is just my opinion and there are people here who will buy the bow no matter what I or anyone else says.
Firenock, the reason why I still speak of my problems is I think people should know about them before making a decision to buy a product. I do use your nocks on some of my arrows and I believe they are the best lighted nock out there, I've tried a few. And if yours were junk, I'd let people know even after they were in the trash.
We know of your problems and that's exactly why I referenced your issue in my initial post. No need to rehash. I don't think you have to worry about anyone investigating the Scorpyd lineup to not stumble upon your experience...it seems like a large majority of any new thread getting started about Scorpyd has your issue in it. This thread isn't about your issue.

Most on this site understand and agree with your frustration. At some point though it's going to go beyond you sharing your experience and becoming you just... well...you know.

I just want to add 1 cent worth. Auto manu design & build & test for years but final product faults only are found after customers use & test the product. Jim is in the same boat.
If you buy a scorpyd, your a (customer). If your satisfied with the product, you are (family). If you are proud of the product, you are part of the (team)& team members help solve problems so other (customers) can & will be (family).
Thanks to Super 91 & Raleigh Archer & others, we see a ((TEAM)). We see alot of "family" that hopes to see other "customers" be satisfied & become Scorpyd ((FAMILY)). Jim & Scorpyd need "techs" to help solve customers unfortunate found faults in their Xbows. Team players help Jim to satisfy customers.
This forum is full of Jim's customers. The passion we see is caused by Customer/Family/Team concept.
IT WILL GET BETTER!!!
I am about 95% of the way to join the "team." I want to shoot a few other bows first and then make my decision. The biggest factor for me is going to boil down to how well a company stands behind their product and how good that company's retailers are. In fact, one of Jim's dealers is located just a few miles from me in Port Huron, Mi. I absolutely refuse to go there because they shafted me over an arrow they incorrectly cut and setup for me. Bottom line, if I am going to drive an hour or an hour and a half, I want to be sure his retailers stand behind the product and won't give me the run around. I'd pay $100 extra for the bow if I know the dealer is going to be good to work with.

I spoke with Jim about a month ago on the 150 status and he said he wasn't sure if the limbs would be available from the manufacture in time for hunting season. He said he wanted to make sure things were done right... Can't blame him for that.

As for a man of his word, he's always stood behind everything he's told me. If something goes wrong with one of his suppliers, he can't control that.

Rex-

Welcome to the forum. It's nice to see that Jim has you here to respond to customer and potential customer questions. If you haven't already, you might want to set up an account over on AT to respond to potential questions over there.

Currently I have the Telson 130 (great bow), but I've contemplated getting the 150. I guess the biggest questions I have is how fast is the 150, and besides speed what separates the 150 from the Telson 130?
