This looks like a pretty nice bow! According to the spec's it's 250lbs to cock to get 370fps. The Micro that has everyone selling their bows is 270lbs draw to realize a reported 335fps. It's only .37 inches wider and 2.5inches longer than the Micro. The draw & weight are important to me so that is a huge plus for me. Plus you get 35fps extra for 20lb less draw! A win/win. The price is the exact same as the Micro.

It appears Excal did "tweek" the 380 spec's to create this bow. As stated I am not a speed guy but this looks to be a viable option to a fast smaller bow with a lower (if you conceder 250lb lower) draw. Now the decision is the somewhat smaller length & width & slower speed worth it in the Micro? The Cabelas Excal has a 20lb lighter draw and 35fps speed gain......That is the trade off we would be looking at. Price is the same so it comes down to what is important to you. The Micro stock is different so the feel could also be a determining factor. Had Cabela's brought this bow in at a lower price point this would be a slam dunk. I feel sure Excal gave Cabelas the price to keep the decision making fair.

It appears that they have decreased the power stroke a bit to get the 250lb draw weight and the 370 fps.
Still seems to be a good deal for a Matrix style Excal.

$50 cheaper than a 355, $150 less than a 380. You do get the ADF but no Reds or cheek piece. Speed & draw weight is just about in the middle of the two. I'm thinking Cabela's & Excal will have a winner here!

The picture shown on Cabelas website shows the cheek piece.
I wonder if the bow will included Excal's lifetime warranty?

I inquired about the warranty to Cabela's & have not gotten a reply. When I looked at the overhead picture it did not appear to have a cheek piece. Maybe my old eyes are playing tricks.

I don't see a cheek piece either. Are we looking at the same picture?
