Got my Horton Max Hunter 150 back last week. After bad experience at a local company. Tech told me use the Omni noc with it. Is it safe to change to that noc on older Horton bow? Im shooting TP ProElites w brass inserts. Till I hear the verdict I'll be swapping nocs out. Thanks

I can't speak specifically to weather they work on your Horton Kevin but my two CenterPoint bows that shoot half moon nocks are very happy shooting Omni nocks. Based on the design intent from TenPoint, I would think the Omni nocks would be fine. You might go over to the TenPoint section here and ask the TenPoint Rep. if he knows.

You would probably be safe shooting the Omni's. I would shoot the moons myself but that's just me.The older Hortons used to shoot flat nocks.I think they switched to moon nocks in 97 0r 98. Here's some old catalogs to look through if you dont know the year of your bow. That old Horton would love some xx75 2219 Eastons I bet. Mine do.

The purpose of the Omni noc, was that users were not seating there arrow on the string.... the Omni noc will prevent the noc to over ride the string, thus preventing dry fire error........ If I were you, and I have seen several other users do this, I would buy, some "captured" nocks, by Parker.... they are deeper than the half nock, and give great contact on the string, to prevent any problems....... Either way, just take the time, to make sure you noc contact is correct, and like the above advice, cock feather down, and squared with the nock, each and every time....

take the time, to tune each arrow bolt you have.................... keep em sharp

Yes ...what i do with all my arrows is check the nocks position when seated on the rail. If the nock is twisted even a tiny bit on the string i correct it...i keep all my nocks perfectly horizontal with the rail and string...i have the TP Titan SS and read about the warrany about using Omni nocks only and i dont feel this is fair because a moon nock(half moon) shoots even better than an Omni and its not just an opinion because one time i had an arrow with an Omni nock fly at what seemed to be half its speed once. It still made it to the target but slower !
