Hey anybody try any of the new Primo's shooting sticks ? I recently purchased their short stick 18" - 38" tri-pod . I don't always need a stick to steady my shots but when its a long field shot or a buck that's taking his time coming into range it makes for a rock steady rest. Works on uneven ground great.

I agree I like the taller ones too, but needed one I can more easily carry around & at 18" folded I made a sheath for it that goes on a belt to wear around my waist. When attached to my waist it hangs about6-8" off ground as I walk. To much to carry is what my problem is the xbow the trigger stick a blind a seat. So what I'm going for is the trigger stick on my belt the GhostBlind fits on my back in the game pouch of the turkey vest, my xbow is on a sling & the seat well for now I'm using one of those strap to your waist inflatable camo ass cushions I got mine at Dicks Sporting Goods but I might just get one of those short Turkey Thug hunting chairs that sit low. I also bought a ghillie suit by Red Rock (woodland) at a garage sale for $10.00 they go for between $40.00 & $60.00. Sometimes I'll wear the ghillie and just set in a chair with my xbow leaning partially on the trigger stick & my chair, as long as I sit still I look like a big clump of moss sitting there. I've had other hunters pass right by me sitting there plain as day & they were none the wiser.

I'm looking into these tripods and was wondering if they were tall enough to use while in a chair or stool. Good to know they are working for this.

Add another goody to the shopping list.
Here you go-Trigger Stick's ... tri-pods.. 1-( 24-62" ) & ( 18-38")... Bi-pods..1-(24-61") & (18-38") Mono-pods...1-(33-65") & (25-62") & (21-30") They also make a few different model treestand mono-stands to hold the mono-pod in standing position without having to hold on to it while hunting from a treestand. There not cheap price wise ,but work great smooth up & down action when trigger is pulled & you can hold any of it's many positions by pushing the trigger lock which in turn locks the legs in place making for a rock solid rest and seems to be built to last, real handy tool.

I have the tall tripod and love it. I like the trigger height adjustment, the legs are very quiet as they deploy. I actually use it both for my rifles and my xbow. Nice and steady.

Here is another option for sitting or even walking. Do a search for hip stick and it works in a tree also. It also clips to your belt. I have the primos mono pod, bipod, and tri pod and I'm not 100% sold on any of them. I like my deadshot tripod the best but its bulky to carry

I hooked the Ten Point, Steddy Eddy to my Barnett and couldn't see me going any other direction. In fact I had one that I used on a Tac10. As others have stated, too much stuff to carry. The problem some may have would be if shooting while standing and then the rod won't be long enough. You can cradle it on your hip but it won't reach the ground. I do not miss when I'm Steddied by Eddy (couldn't resist). Just thought I'd give another option to those considering. Have fun.
