Hello All, Scooby here I just received a used Horton HD 175 crossbow with a horton 4 x 32 crossbow scope sso47. I would like to ask a few questions as the crossbow did not come with a manual.
1). Is there anyway to tell the year manufactured on my crossbow?
2). It was suppose to come with an ez winder but did not so I will need a cocking rope suggestions please.
3). The scope is a horton 4 x 32 crossbow scope sso47 I see that the yardage incraments is 10 to 12 yards per line.
a). What can I expect from a HD175 10 yards or 12 yards?
B). Is the scope made to be zero'd at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 or 10, 20, 30, 40, 50?
4). Whats the best arrow to purchase for it (target and hunting combo), it came with one Cabelas Stalker X bolt and two Carbon Express Surge 20" T4133.
5). There is a small knob numbered 0 to 9 just below the scope what is this for?
6). Almost forgot it came disassembled can I assume the cables go in the narrow notch on the forearm?
a). Is there a right or wrong way to put them in the notch it appears no matter how it gets done one side of the forearm ends up with the cable cross. Is this ok or no?
Sorry in advance if most or all of these questions are dumb, I just don't want to shoot / practice with this crossbow until I am as familiar with it as I can be. Thanks again for your time and help. Scooby
