Thinking about getting one for my new R10. I don't like the yardage marks on the X bow scopes. What is some of the opinions on the Jack plate? Also what would be a good scope for it that is not over $300?

I own and prefer the Jackplate myself. Compact and out of the way....

I had the Jack Plate on my Deathstalker last year but just didn’t like the additional 1” height. Had it with a Vortex reflex sight and thought it was the slickest thing going. I do regret selling it though.

That setup looks nice. Too bad you did not like it. How far were you able to use that red dot with the jack plate?

The only real adavantage OVER the HHA when mounted on a ravin is a cleaner look and maybe a bit more precision. On other bows, not having to draw over or past the HHA knob sticking out on the side is a huge gain i.m.o.

with low signature rings i do not feel the scope sits to high, but yes its higher then i would prefer.
Very few of my bows line up on the shot like rifle.
