im the owner of 3 jackals but im planning on buying the Recruit and passing the jackals to the daughters. my question how are these red dot sights. do they handle the recoil? do they stay sighted in? will they last/ if not ill throw a Hawke on i seldom ever shoot an animal past 25 yards any opinions or experinces are welcome

I used it on my recruit, it's not bad at all, it does the job that's all that matters, but I have like 3 4x32 scopes so I put a tru glo scope on it because I like the extra zoom :) because I'm not a big red dot fan of any kind of red dot

I put the 3-dot Barnett on my Recruit when I first got it last week and didn't like it, so I bought the Hawke 1.5-5 IR SR scope and mounted that. Last night I was playing around and looked thru the Barnett again on the lower settings, it's not as bad as I first thought.

Hey for around $50.00 you can put a horton hawke on there speed dial lighted rectle, there is no warranty on this scope, cause horton went out of business, but hey for the money, worth a look. I bought one and never looked back, also own an xb-30 !!! Happy Trails !!!! PS if the battery dies you can still use the scope, like all hawke scopes !!!

Howie,
On my Recruit I had no horizontal adjust on the 3 dot scope. Barnett replaced it in 3 days but I had to pay the postage. I would have had to send the whole bow back to the Sportsman's Guide with free shipping. I went with Barnett complaining about the warranty
not having free shipping. They sent me a great camo hat, which its worth i more than the shipping I paid. I never used the site which is still in the box. Put a illuminated scope on instead. Good Luck!
