in my family's hunting ive seen 2 deer hit with them 400gr at 350fps neither went through. assuming its cause take the length of one of those blades x6 and cant really sharpen it easily and you end up with alot more surface and drag even compared to 3" designs. so ya we stopped using those

 

You couldn't pay me to use them.

 

They clog full of meat and fat. It's like trying to push a spoon full of use cream through the rest of the gallon.

my Buddy was dying to use them in Nebraska thinking huge hole that wouldn't close. He tried them and has since seen the light.

 

Ive seen them on the side of the road people were picking up trash with them on the end of a pole

 

They will turn a foam target into spaghetti.

I got a pass through once, Thanksgiving morning 6 or so years ago. What do you do with 2" "worms" about 1/4" diameter? Single bevel, 2 blades will reliably "spin" through hair, hide, meat, lung and heart; but three in a loop are fighting each other. See #4-@regohio

 

Not legal in PA, so I will never know, but it doesn’t seem like I’m missing anything.

 

Why are they not legal in pa,they are 7/8 diameter and of a cutting edge design, that's all the pa game rules state

I've seen a couple of YouTube vids on them. Not very impressive.

 

I'm not planning on using them.I am a montec g5 fixed blade fan for 20 years,if I can't get them to shoot from my new crossbow I guess I will have to change then.

 

Like most things that are toxic, I would stay away from them!

When put up against other broadheads, I have never heard anything good about them.

 

Shot a coyote with them when they first came out, probably 10 years ago out of my compound. Good shot, no blood, never found the coyote

 

I saw one shot into ballistic gel on YouTube and it cut a clean cloverleaf and seemed to hit where the guy was aiming. I've read a bunch of reviews on this since I posed the question here, and it seems guys either love or hate them with little opinion in between...

Ive killed two deer with them never had any issues .The deer didnt even run 30 or 40 yards if that.I guess thats why they make so many different broadheads is so everyone can find what works best for them . I had never killed a deer wirh a crossbow before . Im at 100%kill ratio Ive xhot at two deer and killed two deer .lol Im not tooting my own horn but just saying.

 

Get yourself some Swats... Proven.

 

Ive got so many new Toxic broadheads and replacement blades it would be a shame to have to give them away you know they wouldnt sell for a third of purchased price.

 

Shoot coyotes and other stuff like that with them. A lot of good quality broadheads out there

 

Shot a doe, with crossbow at 37yards, using toxic. Buried it right into the shoulder in front of the bone, burrowed thru taking out both lungs and severed the heart. Deer ran about 20 yards, stood there for a second and dropped like a sack of potatoes. Huge blood trail, even bigger puddle where it stood. No issues at all with mine. It’s a lot to do with shot placement, angle and distance. Practice your shooting, you will never have a problem.

 

what toxic BH ?

 

A friend sent me a pak of 3, years ago to try out. I shot a nice 12 pt with one. Broke the blades in several pieces. I was using older wide limbed Excal. Same thing happened with the other 2 B'heads when I shot couple of Doe's. I told him don't waste his money on them. They work n they kill but I dislike broke pieces of steel that's sharp in the body cavity while I am cleaning the deer.

 

Appreciate the real world experience. The bow I just purchased came with a bunch of broadheads and these were in the mix. They look cool enough I was considering trying them. Think I'll pass for now.
