Do any of y'all use Victory's Xbolt ???? I've talked to the folks at Victory and got some recommendations on bolts and was wondering if anyone used them ???? I'm looking at the Easton Bloodline and the Victory Xbolt. I've shot arrows from both manufacturer's out of a compound bow. So I trust what they produce !!!!

I bought a half doz Victory Decimators a few years back and used them last season out of my Vortex crossbow. On one arrow I had to use another vane for the cock feather so that arrow would group with the rest but other than that I have no problems using them. `I think I gave like $19.95 for a half doz (on sale) at Dick's. I should have bought more.;)

I second that . Before I knew about Jerry I shot the cheap x bolts off ebay . They shot so so at best. They are cheap for a reason , they say spine aligned on each shaft but I'm raising the bs flag on that . I still have a few . The fletching store off quickly so I installed quick spin vanes , the ones you dip in hot water and that helped a little . Then I bought Black Eagle Executioners from Jerry. Trust me they are a true spine indexed arrow. I'm down to 10 outta my last doz . Probably ordering more soon . Good luck

Gents I think there is room for factory arrows for the CBN community to share. Is it good form to bad mouth factory fletched arrows? Those that seem to post negatively about factory arrows have you shot Decimators or Bloodsports? I for one have shot BloodSport arrows and they are freaking awesome arrows out of the box. Legit, legit, legit!!!! Every box I have purchased are very good. If I was a betting man those who throw down on factory arrows would shoot them in the 20-40 yard range I think you would be quite surprised at the reliability and accuracy. I can only speak for BloodSport. I just purchased the Victory Decimators and will test them out. If they are not good I won't use them. Risk I'm willing to take at the discount price. At worst a great practice arrow. What up with the negative vibe?

As for custom arrows I have done my fare share of purchasing. They are great but come with a price. To some worth it. I think there is room for both on this site. Just sayin'.

I totally agree with Tom. If youre looking for strictly hunting arrows and your distances is inside 50 yards the factory fletched arrows will do you a good job on moderately fast bows (up to around 360 fps hitting 2" of bullseye and less). I've read alot of reviews on how badly they preformed on the fast bows (400 fps+) though. I believe that if youre a target shooting reaching out to 100 yards and beyond then custom arrows are the ONLY way to go. JMO...…..

Just my limited experience based opinion here.
I have now zeroed in and shot three different crossbows out to 50 yards. All using both their factory supplied arrows with a straightness factor of 0.003 and with, Black Eagle Executioners, BE Zombie Slayers with a SF of 0.001 and in the case of my Excalibur Assassin EXtreme custom made indexed matched arrows.
My Assassin EX 400 shoots a 450grn TW arrow at 366fps
My Wrath 430X shoots a 450grn arrow at over 396fps
My 10YO Wicked Ridge Invader shoots a 400 grain arrow at IIRC 310fps.

As has been said at distances UNDER 50 yards shooting a FBBH with a CD of 1-3/8" VS FPs at or under 400fps I saw no significant difference in accuracy between arrow types. I would not hesitate to hunt with any of the factory arrows that came with my crossbows.

Having said that the higher quality arrows I own have in my experience so far one major advantage VS factory arrows. That being consistently more accurate with far fewer if any fliers that stray outside of my 2" bulls eye with a FBBH.
As I prefer to shoot FBBH's using a higher quality than factory arrows is in MY OPINION a must as I have seen my BE ZS's just flat out shoot better than my factory arrows with larger OD FBBHs and do so consistently.

Is it a significant enough of a difference to REALLY matter? In all honesty no. But I am a reloader and rifle shooter who is hopelessly addicted to achieving maximum accuracy so if higher quality higher $$$ arrows reduces my over all 50 yard group size by 15-20% I'm going with the more costly arrows.

IN MY opinion if you're shooting below 400fps, 50 yards and under and using mechanical broadheads you should be just fine with factory arrows that you have test fired and confirmed fly well.
If consistently hitting a 1" dot at 50 yards is a must for you then higher quality high $$$ arrows are a must have.

My custom made indexed matched arrows for my Excalibur Assassin EXT are literally same hole arrows out to 50 yards.
