I'm new to the crossbow world and noticed all the recommendations for Stryker crossbows have fallen away since 2018. Did something happen to the company? The specs of the Katana 360 look really good.

I purchased a Katanna last year. Great Xbow from what I have read it was sold to Excalibur. Don’t understand why as they are a solid recurve company. According to Wyvern.com any warranty work or parts requirements are available for some time to come. Don’t know what Excalibur will do with this line of xbow but it’s a shame if it disappears.
I doubt Excalibur would e dropping the Stryker line. Excal is owned by Norwest Equity Partners’ which is an investment firm that buys companies, makes some money, and then sells. JMO...
Bowtec’s Stryker crossbows are a prime example of how a wonderfully engineered product can be destroyed by business bum decisions and miscalculations. Evidently they didn’t really want be in the crossbow business but, for some reason, got in halfheartedly anyway. They are still producing great vertical compound bows. Too bad, they let Stryker 350’s and 390’s die.
One might recall the VHS story, when about 40 years ago the most aggressive marketed and most mediocre solution took over a market. Quality does not always prevail, unfortunately.
But a lot depends on the customer's decision.
There are still some new-with-warranty Stryker crossbows for sale in places. Is it safe to buy one? Can an owner get service direct without a local dealer?
Ironically, I just got off the phone with Dawn at Excalibur, in Canada Excalibur will warranty any Katana or Offspring and in the US, Bowtech will warranty any issues....
I have a Matrix 380 and the Offspring 360 both are good bows but my choice is always the Offspring. One of the guys I hunt with has a Scropyd that is 60 ft/sec faster than my Offspring and if they were still making that bow he would have bought one. Everyone notices right off the bat is how quiet it is and when they see how accurate it is out to 50 yds. It is a shame that Bowtech has decided to stop producing these as they are of the same quality as any Excaliber.
Just bought a Katana 360, shot it some this weekend very solid crossbow and shoots lights out
