Born 20 mile from where I live in NW Ohio, 66 years old, retired from Iroworkers Local 147 in Ft Wayne In 30 years ago, been hunting fishing g and competing in rifle and handgun competitions for 45 of them years and today nothing's changed except I no longer compete, but for the past 30 years fishing and hunting with my favorite revolvers and bows is what I do when not taking a break on my Harley. Always wanted to live in Alaska, but was the one thing my wife would never agree with.

My Dad drove truck for alot of years. He did the same as you, tri-stare, all over NJ, PA and NY... you guys might have been at the same rest stop at the same time once but, who knows... the world is small and I think like this alot, if I've ever seen anyone that I'm typing to on here before........ I've been around alot in my youth and have seen alot of faces.
That's how I live my life alot of times, without the extra security it makes you pay closer attention to details. There's so many things designed to make a person lazy in this world today that it's a wonder anything gets done correctly !

Alaska is great until the winter rolls around ! I don't miss that at all .... lol....!

JEBUS! Ain't no young bucks up in this forum????

65, retired, born and raised in Michigan--Ann Arbor to be exact. Great place to grow up. Just enough city to keep life interesting but the country is just a skip and a jump down a 2 lane road. Was a serious mountain biker. The wife finally made me indulge her wishes and we sold everything we owned and moved to Florida so she wouldn't have to deal with the cold any more--didn't bother me. (And now she just complains about the heat) Picked up a crossbow on a whim this spring and found I liked shooting it a lot. Never hunted, and now I suppose it is to late to start really. But, target shooting is fine with me. When I'm not surfing, I am shooting.

Oh, and this forum has been very helpful. Ain't even shot my eye out yet

37 yrs. old. I have lived my entire life in Vermont. It's a small state and it has a lot of state and federal land to explore/hunt on. Most private land is posted and there's a ton of it. Big bucks are few and far between here. Turkey and black bear population are doing quite well though. I hope to explore more of the rest of the country someday. Going to go enjoy some Ben and Jerry's now.

Elno, my sister lives in the Pinckney MI area on Portage Lake. Beautiful in the summer but no way could I tolerate that cold in the winter.

Month shy of 57 today, born and raised in central Missouri, right smack on the south bank of the Missouri River. I grew up on a farm about 40 miles down river from where I live now so I haven't done too much wandering. My wife and I bought 80 acres of her parents farm that we have lived on since 1985 although she was born and raised here.

I agree that it is an older crowd on this forum. Never to old to get started hunting!!!
I think the majority of crossbow shooters are the archers that no longer can pull back their vertical bows due to age/physical reasons. I know finding CBN put me back in the game after I had totally given up bow hunting.....and deer hunting in general. Now it's almost like when I first started bow hunting...all over again.:)

Moon, ask your sister if she ever goes to the Zukey Lake Tavern. I spent a lot of time in that area--my favorite mountain biking trail (Potowanami) is in Pinckney!

And Stack, I would love to start hunting but I'd need a mentor. I don't know a thing about hunting and don't believe I should go traipsing through the woods with a lethal weapon armed with lethal ignorance! I'm sure other hunters would feel the same way!

I am thinking about doing some crossbow fishing, but I got a lot to learn about that, too.

47 born in a small town in southwest Georgia. Went to college in Alabama which is where I now reside. Hunted(rifle) with my father until I started playing sports. I haven't hunted since I was 15, though I have target practiced since I was 10, something i never stopped. This will be my first year hunting since then. I've turned to a few guys at work that crossbow hunt to learn the ropes. One thing I have learned fairly quickly the initial cost aint for the faint of heart :)

Ah yes, deer meat, the most expensive meal on earth!

I live in Warrington Pennsylvania, Bucks County about 45 minutes or so NW of Filthadelphia.. LoL.
Lived in PA all my life...when I was previously married, I lived in Limerick PA, Montgomery County...yes, the nuclear power plants were about 5 miles away...right out the back door..moved back to Bucks County in 2011...don't know if I'll ever leave..I'm 51 and have worked for the USDA- Food Safety Inspection Service for almost 23 years. Child support payments took a big chunk outta my retirement so I'll be lucky to retire in 13-14 years..
Oh well...

I was born and raised in Indiana, where I still live. I retired a month ago and am looking at hunting alot more this season. I hunt Indiana and O-H-I-O! If anyone here is ever in the Hoosier state during hunting season, get hold of me and you would be welcome to hunt with me.
