Some how I can not understand why all the newer scopes have the 20-100 yards ? What happened to the good hunting scopes from 250 to 400 area. I don't have a crossbow that can use anything past 60 yards.

I guess they are trying to phase out the older crossbows. With no scopes available for slower models they make buy what they are selling. I don't care to walk 100 yards one way per arrow shot for practice. I shall deal with this my way next year.

The only reason the majority think the practical limit is 60 yards is the majority have always felt anything over that is not ethical. The fact is IF someone can shoot a 1in group at 100 yards its just as ethical.
And I will take it a step further a 100 yard shot will likely be more ethical because past 80 the firing noise of the crossbow is far less threatening to the animals. The odds are the shot will not produce the flight instinct in 98 to 100% of the animals shot at

Don't jump on go do the research
Personally I find t]most of the 100 yard scopes to be very cluttered. It's not the yardage shots I am worried about. My woods I get to hunt you can't see a deer at 50 yards. Not everyone hunts in more open areas.

I'm looking for a scope for my new Killer Instinct LogiX. Seems like everything has dots out to 100yds. 🤷‍♂️

I think I could get used to this one.

If your coming to Spfd, come by and shoot. You can try my scope out ,see if you like it. Pickup those boat lights also.
Let me know on a day & time so I can see on my end to make it. I will bring the lil XP380 over with me.

Coyotes and other variants are viable targets at 70+ yards. The speed ranges and magnification ranges are all determined by the manufacturer or xbow company. Few are building new older spec lens based optics. Most of the newer electronic optics can be setup for the xbows shooting mid 300s and some of those have variable magnification.

GL!
Your right about all of that. I am not going to conform to their way of thinking. I can still go back to my red dots, prefer speed ring scope. Such is life I reckon.

I went & looked at every scope Wyvern has, the only reticle I found I was half liking in the Excal Tact Hunter for most 200 samolians.. Sure beats all those 100 yard ones with 7-12 clutter filled junk piles.

How about the Huskemaw scope with a single red dot? Just sight it in for 30 yards and practice to see what your crossbow does with shorter or longer shots. Don’t use the turret at all.

It’s like a red dot but with 4 power and quality glass.
That's doable, I have a new in the box V-Brite I could put on the XP380. It's what I would call an overload on power for under 50 yards.

I have a new Huskemaw scope I'd sell you, it's up in Wisconsin. I could have my brother ship it

mounted on my Scorpyd and needed to shim it, so I left my Vortex on.

make me an offer if you're interested
Have to pass, tapped out making my layaway payments on Ravin.
