An arrow build update for my Whitetail Hunter 400XTR/Red Dot Sig Romeo5 at 40 yards.
Built two older BloodSports using new Tac Vane Drivers, spine indexed with illuminated nocks. Yea, guilty as charged. Just 1.5" left of my POA vs my Easton 9MM arrows. Two arrows are now minus one. Shot only twice. Nuff said and shame on me. This dog will hunt! Note: This is one stout SOB to cock!!!!

Next steps for long range thrills. Perry24 has built custom strings for my WH 400XTR. Looking forward to installing them when they arrive. His prices are impressively reasonable and his response and build quality is the best I've used off of CBN. Paying forward anyone that requires cable and string replacement I would highly recommend him. He's quite fast with his response and build time.

Have HHA waiting for my V-Brite dot, Vortex Crossfire II, 2nd focal plane, 3-9x40 scope to arrive.
I really like my red dot setup because it's hunting super lite. Will be my goto in the fall. However, I'll use the Vortex for a while to test out my arrows at 100 yards. There is additional tape room to mark out further. If I'm not to tired from the heat may try to mark off to 125 yards. Like to see how these affordable arrows perform with the Tac Driver Vanes.

All shots will be executed off my Primos Tri-Pod shooting stick.

To be continued.

Next steps: Since the Scope sits higher on the rail with the HHA Optimizer HuntersThompson gave me a good solution to remedy for my cheek pad requirements. This is my first iteration. I slapped on PVC pipe insulation and that is a score!. Got out in my backyard since I did my 60-74 yard shooting post. Confirmation: I have the correct tape #29. I shot at 40 yards, center bullseye on first shot. My new cheek position gives me instant FOV eye relief. Next steps I'll be adding Camo tape for my personal requirements. Here is my backyard cheek pad mod. Like it!

Key fix, duck tape! :p Cheek pad is fixed in this position. It firmly fits in place but Murphy’s law walking in the woods? Oh hell no. I taped it to my butt stock.

Great idea Tom! Is that 2 or 3 inch? Does it spin or did you stabilize it?
Collaboration and networking: To be sure all the credit goes to HuntersThompson as one of many CBN contributors. Shoot On! Cost? $2.78 with plenty of material in reserve.

That is still pretty light with that setup. Your gonna be able to dial it in.
HT, truth be told both are ready to hunt. All I got to do is swap out either scope/HHA setup or Sig Romeo5. I have spots marked on my pica tinny rail. I'm doing Arizona hunt and scope/HHA is going west with me in January.

Arizona, mule deer right after Christmas is my play this year. My son and sonic-law are going for Elk,DIY, and narrowed down several units on or near Utah boarder. Next year, I'm going west for Elk with them. I'm letting them do the test before before these old legs walk and stalk miles and miles per day. :p
